He got banned for 2 weeks, thats why he's using that username.
His name is Ric, I think he prefers Kif though.
I know his real name
I don't think anyone knows Kif's real name...
Ding ding ding, we have a weiner I don't mind either really, I'm just used to Kif because I hear it a lot at school too |
How to tune Drop C on the BASS!
C G C F :upset: |
Drop C is horrendous, even on the guitar.
I've never understood why you'd want to play that low. I can write perfectly well in standard tuning, thanks.
BECAUSE WE LOVE TO PUNCH PEOPLE IN THE CROTCH WHILE IN THE MOSH
Just hold the second fret, pluck the low e string and tune it until it says D.
Just hold the second fret, pluck the low e string and tune it until it says D.
What about the other strings? |
Hold the second fret, pluck the a string and tune down to A
Hold the second fret, pluck the d string and tune down to D Hold the second fret, pluck the g string and tune down to G |
*saved embarassment*
No, that would make it Drop B. Hold the second fret and pluck the D string, the tuner should read E. Now tune it down and pluck the a string again, still holding the second fret, tune it until it says D.
By the way, for the A string, you can just pluck the open string and tune it to G because the tuner has a G note on it. |
Gah I can't read CB. My bad.. lol :D thx.
The only one I can't get is the C :upset: on E
Why not?
You can just use a chromatic tuner. Works for me... Or it did the one time I messed about with tunings in a serious way. I just play in standard or Eb, or occasionally drop D now.
Most tuners only have EADGBE.
Why not?
It doesn't want to go to D from the 2nd fret. |
That's strange. I don't know what to tell you.
It goes E to B and nothing inbetween when fretting 2nd.
Most tuners only have EADGBE.
Yeah, I know. My pedal is useful as it has a chromatic tuner built in. Handy... |
It goes E to B and nothing inbetween when fretting 2nd.
Then just strike the D string, now tuned down to C, and just tune it to that. |
Thats what I did baby :D WOOT
I need a linky to your myspace Chris :D
