i didn't know JR was jewish...
He is. Mike is too, right?

scenesfromatheater 01-30-2006 12:15 PM

MP is a non-practicing Jew. JP is Catholic I think, Labrie is Christian and Myung is Christian.

temporary 01-30-2006 01:53 PM
Lebrie goes off stage and plays !!Mortal Kombat!! during the solos just so he has another good talent. he dosent wany to stand out there for 15 minutes while the other guys are soloing or doing instrumentals, he wants to go rip 3D guys heads off and beat the crap out of opponents in !!Mortal Kombat!!
Meh, I personally don't like the way he just leaves the stage, I mean, what do Jon Anderson or Ian Gilian do when their bands go off on long instrumental breaks?

Wow. I never knew this stuff.

JamJar 01-30-2006 02:45 PM

Yeh, I never thought of Myung as a Christian...

Jev 01-30-2006 02:46 PM

I never saw any of them as religious.

Triangle 01-30-2006 02:47 PM

Yeah it's crazy. How old is Jordan? Isn't he ~50?

GenuineImitation 01-30-2006 02:49 PM

Either did I.

I dont see why its a big deal if the practice religion or not. As long as they make kick ass music.

As long as they don't let it affect their music like Dave Mustaine did.

No, I'm not saying TSHF is bad, he stopped singing certain songs when he became Christian. But still DT have been religious all along so I doubt they'd not play any songs because of bad lyrics.

I'm not sure, but I definately know he doesn't do Good Mourning/Black Friday anymore which is my favourite Megadeth song.

I think it's OK, I mean it's up to him what songs he plays...
If he doesn't feel comfortable playig it... it sucks that it's your favourite though, that's why you're bitter :p

I would be pissed off if he decided to stop playing Tornado of souls...

Uh...this is the Megadeth thread, right?

GenuineImitation 01-30-2006 05:52 PM

What type of guitars does JP use now?

6-String_Slinger 01-30-2006 05:55 PM
The last tour they did in Japan they played ALL of 8vm.

Dude, I'm seeing them March 17th too! In Minneapolis too, right? were are your seats? I got row 7
ARGH!! if i have to listen to all of 8vm I'll be pissed. i mean i'll be ecstatic cause DT is playing but that leaves off SO many better songs. I'd rather see falling into infinity all the way through. It may not be liked by a lot of DT fans but it is far better than 8vm.

i got screwed on tix. the ticketmaster web site said they went on sale at noon on saturday jam 28th, but then for the hell of it i checked the site friday the 27th at like 8 o clock and they were on sale! i freaked and ordered as quick as i could. I'm in ro R so number 18. oh well, should still be good. Any help on getting a camera in??

6-String_Slinger 01-30-2006 05:56 PM

JP uses his ernie ball music man signature guitars

Don't know. JP also uses Music Man, also Steve Morse uses 'em. They're becoming quite popular.

Mr.Metalton 01-30-2006 06:27 PM

The JP signature ernie ball music man is not a bad guitar really. i played one at Guitar center and it really is nice and fast.
