Since you're all already talking about Talking Heads, I may as well join in. Why is the live album (The Name of This Band is Talking Heads) always seem to be so expensive? Along with The Wall, it's the album I most often see, seemingly without reason, overpriced.
I got it for liek 20USD. Quite agreeable, I'd say. And it's worth at least 40USD, so just cough it up. |
So I should have bought it when it was on sale for $16 AU?
|
Yes, buy buy buy.
I never noticed the "liek" in that post. Ick. |
What a shame it's gone up to $35. I don't have that much money so I'll have to wait until it goes on sale again or I see it on ebay.
EDIT: Stop Making Sense is $20 though. *strokes chin* |

Been digging mainly Beatles, country music, and 80s pop this week. Also Kylie Minogue and Annie.
And today I've been using my ears to listen to the Cocteau Twins. |
lame intro.
meh..it was pretty good but I'm guessing there are better albums. What would you consider their best? |
How is the Magic Numbers?
Give me some similar bands.
I love it. I gave it 5/5 on RYM - only one of 4 post-2000 albums to get that distinction. The Mamas & The Papas are the band they sound most like. Also, Prefab Sprout, The Meat Puppets (a little), The Lovin' Spoonful, The Flaming Lips, and The Beach Boys. Just really happy, poppy stuff, drenched in sunny boy-girl vocal harmonies. |
Hot Water Music - A Flight and a Crash
Dresden Dolls - s/t Cat Power - Moon Pix Peccatum - Lost in Reverie Some nice tunes right there. |

Hendrix. I once bought one of his Live albums from Cash Converters for cheap. The track list was off, but a great disc.
