I'm listening to The Jesus and Mary Chain right now. I have no idea what they are trying to accomplish. They are playing this beautiful pop song, and their is the huge wall of noise in the backround, you have to work to hear the song. I'm not in the mood to work , and my ears hurt from it. Insane.

TV On the Radio remind of them in that noisy aspect. Both great bands.

Salad Days is about the demise of the D. C. hardcore scene as they once knew it. I love that song.

I guess it could be acplicable to that too. I read that explanation in that one Michael Azerad book, [U]Our Band Could be Your Life[/U]. Its a fucking great song though. I like their songs they did near the end of the band.
