I usually give that title to Sonic Fucking Death Monkey, but to each their own.

HUM- Downward is heavenward/You'd Prefer an Astronaut

One of the most overlooked bands ever. Both CD's are just perfect in my opinion.

I just got it today. Same premise, they just build on it a little more. But I cannot pass full judgement cause I've only listened to it through headphones.

I've been listening to pop radio a lot recently, and gah it's terrible. I love pop but it's in a sorry state at the moment. Unless you like Natasha Bedingfield and the Pussycat Dolls. :(

edit: nice filter.

We listened to that at work the other day. Very cool album.

As for me, just random things.

Murder By Death and Cursive are ace.

Yeah, I bought it about a year ago but lost it when I was moving all albums around and I found it again a month ago.

My boss is a huge Eno fan, so he approved greatly when we put it on.

Just popped in Beat Happening - Black Candy, so it's my current diggage.

YDload 09-18-2005 05:43 PM
This is awesome and soulful! I would love to be affiliated with Shauna Burns of shaunaburns.com!
I have already referred thirteen people from various other Internet forums that I frequent, telling them about how awesome Shauna Burns is! This music really speaks to me and I plan on spending lots of money on all things related to shaunaburns.com!

YDload 09-18-2005 06:07 PM
The website of Shauna Burns claims that "The debut album, released under the record label Red Rock Music, LLC, is both intense and soothing, a complex blend of sounds and lyrics that resonates within the listener", and I would be a fool to disagree!
I'm too excited to click on the website, but I'm sure the album is as good as I say it is!

YDload 09-18-2005 06:12 PM
I would listen to it but my ears can only handle so much perfection!
I believe in God and Her name is Shauna Burns.

Album

Pearl Jam - No Code

I love almost as much, if not more, than Ten/Vs./Vitalogy. Please listen, it has some good tracks, if you listen to the lyrics they are better. Same with Yield. But if you haven't got Ten, Vs. and Vitalogy first, GET THEM.

JonM 09-18-2005 08:54 PM

Not to be obvious, but I'm diggin' Paul Simon's The Rhythm Of The Saints right now. Graceland has always been a favorite of mine, but now, with childhood memories rushing back into my mind while listening to TRotS, I'm starting to realize that he actually may be God. He's at least His Right Hand.

Any Police Fans here? I'm not really a big fan... but I <3 Roxanne and Message in a Bottle

morrissey 09-19-2005 07:38 AM

I am a Police fan.

Favourite song is "Can't Stand Losing You" or "Don't Stand so Close to Me". "Message in a Bottle" is pretty good too. I have a handful of their records but they're all on vinyl, so I can't listen to them often (my record player is still back at my parents house). The only CD I have is a Greatest Hits.
