i leave my computer on for weeks on end

usually i'm right behind it for the same period of time

i need to buy another internal, will probably do so next week.

well my dad said he heard it beeping when he got up for work at 4am this morning, so i guess thats when it quit

i need to buy a TB drive to back up my TB drive

yesss, just found like three dollars in change

and all i had to do was move three or four large pieces of furniture

I've been thinking about getting a MacBook...it would be super handy to have a laptop that I can throw all of my music software on and carry with me everywhere. But considering how expensive my current computer was, I'll have to wait.

yeah thats the only reason i was interested in one actually, then one day at work i was talking about the pros and cons of macs and my friend was like "ill give you a macbook pro for $50

Just tell me you arent getting an external TB. Because that's a waste of money. Externals are terrible. I will never buy another.

I only back up my music currently.

I have an external for backing up my music and some large files.

I've had too many bad experiences. Internals are cheaper and it's as easy as buying a cheap case if you decide to want to use it externally down the road.

yeah but idk how to put a bigger internal into a laptop and i need at lest 750GB for all my shizz

edit: you should never have a drive larger than like 320, 500 gigs TOPS

well i can't see any one's avatars and a lot of the buttons on my browser aren't showing

drive failure becomes a much bigger and exponentially shittier problem with bigger hd capacity

mozilla is the only program i have running except for last.fm and virus protection, hoping its the local cache

yeah agreed. I have a 640 for media but I'm buying another one for back-up.

I'd buy a TB drive if it was a high quality one (a Raptor maybe idk) and I'd only use it for back-ups. As a failsafe, sure, but never rely on massive drives.

whenever I come into some money I'm going to get a velociraptor or some **** just to run my os on, and use my TB for storage so it's not in constant use.

i only have music and watched tv seasons on my TB

yeah i wanna get a 12000 rpm raptor too, they are awesome

so why do you guys need so much hdd space

so they can talk about it on the internet
