In other news, I'm turning into a huge hippie. I'm taking used coffee grounds from starbucks, recycling anything and everything (it's pretty satisfying going a whole week without filling a medium size rubbish bin of non recyclables) and I'm using the fish-water from water changes on the garden...

Jeese.
just dont get to the phase where you start drinking your bathwater to conserve natural resources

The Transporter 06-18-2010 11:48 AM

Going to Starbucks makes you a hippie by default

mnemonic 06-18-2010 11:54 AM

i havent been into a starbucks in years, i think its ridiculous to spend $4 on a cup of coffee.

then again i dont really like coffee, but i wouldn't spend $4 on a cup of any drink other than a pint of beer at a pub

AG 06-18-2010 12:33 PM

I was a supervisor at Starbucks for 18 months...

>_>

I still go every now and again, and I have some decent friends/relationships with a few stores.

Used coffee grounds are excellent 'green' materials for the compost bin too.

Left Face Down 06-19-2010 09:57 PM

Got wasted last night, and for some reason before I went to bed I brought up a pan lid to my room. I woke up this morning and was just

No clue why I brought it up.

JoshIsNumber3 06-19-2010 11:09 PM

probably because you got drunk by yourself in your room and didn't have anyone else to tell how cool you because you got drunk

AG 06-20-2010 09:41 AM

Went to the Hoppings today. It was great.

a large coffee there is under 2 bucks. Its always the people who dont drink coffee saying negative things about starbucks. REAL coffee drinkers respect the 'bucks.

Bruce E Kinesis 06-21-2010 02:22 AM

REAL coffee drinkers learn to make REAL ****ing coffee you knobhead

What ISP are all with? Cable? ADSL? ADSL2+?

Trying to sort out the best deal for the new house.

Sad But True 06-21-2010 05:03 AM

Sky, never had a problem with it for years. Reliable service.

Also coffee sucks but Starbucks make an alright cuppa tea.

mnemonic 06-21-2010 05:46 AM

at my grandmas house right now so some BT wireless something. pretty slow.

also, before i can get a job i have to get my national insurance number, which apparently i have one, but it hasn't been activated yet. only way to activate it is to wait 7 to 10 days for paperwork to come in the mail, then mail it back, and since they can only tell me the NI number in writing, i assume i'll either have to drive down somewhere to get it, or wait for them to mail it back.

goddamn waste of time.

AG 06-21-2010 06:29 AM

Hmm.

Wifey used to work for Sky so we're a bit put off, because well, all she ever heard were complaints.

You getting a jerb over here max?

Aidan: Me and pretty much all of my mates/family are on Sky, not heard one bad thing from any of them.

jaklyons 06-21-2010 07:22 AM

I've got a BT HomeHub. It can be OK, but it's mostly shit.

Sad But True 06-21-2010 09:26 AM

Now, see, BT I have heard a lot of complaints about; unreliable connections being the main bane of people's opinions.

did she work in a customer service/complaints department?
Now, see, BT I have heard a lot of complaints about; unreliable connections being the main bane of people's opinions.
yeah based on my short experience, i'm definitely not getting BT anything when i get my own place.

hopefully finding a job, i've got this nifty bachelors degree in accounting and nothing to do with it yet.
