In other news, I'm turning into a huge hippie. I'm taking used coffee grounds from starbucks, recycling anything and everything (it's pretty satisfying going a whole week without filling a medium size rubbish bin of non recyclables) and I'm using the fish-water from water changes on the garden... Jeese.
just dont get to the phase where you start drinking your bathwater to conserve natural resources |
Going to Starbucks makes you a hippie by default
|
i havent been into a starbucks in years, i think its ridiculous to spend $4 on a cup of coffee.
then again i dont really like coffee, but i wouldn't spend $4 on a cup of any drink other than a pint of beer at a pub |
I was a supervisor at Starbucks for 18 months...
>_> I still go every now and again, and I have some decent friends/relationships with a few stores. Used coffee grounds are excellent 'green' materials for the compost bin too. |
Back from my trip around Asia and it sucks ****ing balls being home

Got wasted last night, and for some reason before I went to bed I brought up a pan lid to my room. I woke up this morning and was just
No clue why I brought it up. |
probably because you got drunk by yourself in your room and didn't have anyone else to tell how cool you because you got drunk
|
Went to the Hoppings today. It was great.

Coffee is delcious.
What ISP are all with? Cable? ADSL? ADSL2+? Trying to sort out the best deal for the new house. |
Sky, never had a problem with it for years. Reliable service.
Also coffee sucks but Starbucks make an alright cuppa tea. |
at my grandmas house right now so some BT wireless something. pretty slow.
also, before i can get a job i have to get my national insurance number, which apparently i have one, but it hasn't been activated yet. only way to activate it is to wait 7 to 10 days for paperwork to come in the mail, then mail it back, and since they can only tell me the NI number in writing, i assume i'll either have to drive down somewhere to get it, or wait for them to mail it back. goddamn waste of time. |
Hmm.
Wifey used to work for Sky so we're a bit put off, because well, all she ever heard were complaints. |

I've got a BT HomeHub. It can be OK, but it's mostly shit.
|
Now, see, BT I have heard a lot of complaints about; unreliable connections being the main bane of people's opinions.

Wifey used to work for Sky so we're a bit put off, because well, all she ever heard were complaints.
did she work in a customer service/complaints department? because that would explain it
Now, see, BT I have heard a lot of complaints about; unreliable connections being the main bane of people's opinions.
yeah based on my short experience, i'm definitely not getting BT anything when i get my own place.
O2 have absolutely blown me away over the last couple of years, especially if you have a phone with them
i almost got an O2 sim for my phone, but then i went with lebara for some reason. |
