I thought Daves was first, then Adrian, then 'Blood is falling like the rain...' and then Janick. It's the way that they play that gives it away for me. I always use paschendale as my example when explaining the 3 different types. First one: Very hammer on and pull off based, a few triplets thrown in = Dave, Second: A bit of wah, kind of awkward, that thing where you start low and go up = Adrian, Third one = Bends right at the 3rd fret region, kinda sloppy = Janick.

I don't know that much about keys, everything I know about is from playing Maiden songs and finding out what key they play in.
Nah...Jannick=cheesy, Dave=Jazzy, Adrian=psycho

As a topic of discussion, without reading Run To The Hills, who do you think would win a fight out of all them:

Adrian "Psychotic" Smith?

Steve "Oi-you-don't-mess-with-me" Harris

Jannick "I'm-already-butt-ugly-so-I-don't-care-what's-sticking-out-of-that-baseball-bat" Jers

Bruce "I-do-everything" Dickenson

Nicko "Drummer-'nuff-said" McBrain

Dave "Smile!" Murrey

Who would win?

Who would lose?

Post!

Thunder Fingers 04-19-2005 05:37 AM

I would think Steve.. he seems like a take no **** person..

Lord Abortion 04-19-2005 05:44 AM
I say Nicko'd win. Bruce to come last
Answer according to RTTH=

Dave!!!

He used to be invlolved in all the gang fighting that happened in his area, so handles himself best.

Bruce went to private school, but then again, he is a world class fencer and he did piss in his headteachers dinner once...

the_uber_penguin 04-19-2005 07:10 AM
you can get it on amazon for well cheap....... i got it for about £7.50
£2.99 @ HMV

Deth 04-19-2005 07:35 AM

Nicko's just crazy thouh.

I would pay to watch that fight.

There is also another way to work it out, which is my secret way...and I suppose I'll tell you anyhoo...

I've noticed that Dave is on the left Channel, H is the middle channel, and Janick is the right channel. Now if you've seen them live, that is the way they are on the stage if you're facing the stage... Try it, it works...most of the time :thumb:

I think Steve would win, Dave looks kind of worn out at his age...Nicko might use his Triplet fight to kung fu kick people extremely fast.

Deth 04-19-2005 08:54 AM

They could take Priest, I'll say that.

Lord Abortion 04-19-2005 08:55 AM

heeya!!
triplet kick!!
out of the silent planet attack!

Josh 04-19-2005 01:04 PM

wow, mx sure is slow tonight...i'll try your way of working out who's playing solos later ash, but how does it work on the albums that have 2 guitarists?

Nagagamiman11 04-19-2005 01:44 PM

hello

ashman 04-19-2005 01:47 PM
wow, mx sure is slow tonight...i'll try your way of working out who's playing solos later ash, but how does it work on the albums that have 2 guitarists?
Well Dave is always on the right, it's weird, but on all the gigs I've seen, he is always on the right. Must be lucky for him or something.

Nagagamiman11 04-19-2005 01:54 PM

well his set up is on the right but they're always all over the place

ashman 04-19-2005 02:00 PM
well his set up is on the right but they're always all over the place
Aye 'tis truth, but he usually sticks near the Right. For some reason, I can imagine Steve running around the Stage while playing the intro to Blood on the Worlds Hands.

Nagagamiman11 04-19-2005 02:05 PM

Ya so could i ...........................yeah they all usualy move around but stay around their spots for when solos come up and they need their pedals except for steve and bruce their always in the middle

ashman 04-19-2005 02:08 PM
Ya so could i ...........................yeah they all usualy move around but stay around their spots for when solos come up and they need their pedals except for steve and bruce their always in the middle
Steve and Bruce, fighting for the front spot...

Janick is a weird guitarist though, he solos whilst running about, looks cool, but the solo can sound extraordinarily shit when he does.

Thunder Fingers 04-19-2005 03:28 PM

Mmmmm... Steve's not Running While hes playing acustic bass.... thats right its an acustic bass with chorus(or so i have been told...)

and if noticed, when janick plays his own solos hes pretty much standing still...

Nagagamiman11 04-19-2005 03:49 PM

actually janick runs alot during solos but he has to learn how to turn his guitar up lol or unless he does it on purpose so you can't hear his mistakes while he's running lol

and to the precious reply from ashman ya thats funny how bruce puts extra long legs on his mic stand to trip steve while their fighting for the center lmao

Deth 04-19-2005 07:00 PM

I'm sure Steve could run around with an acoustic bass if he wanted to. He just doesn't want to :).

YDload 04-19-2005 07:26 PM

I ripped my Piece of Mind enhanced CD to my computer so I can listen to "Revelations" or "The Trooper" (among others) whenever I'm talking about them in this thread too! I also went to the CD's multimedia section and found out that there's a video for "The Trooper!" Now I know that the solos are Adrian-then-Dave instead of the other way around (which is what they normally do).

You walk through the subway, his eyes burn a hole in your Back!

A foostep behind, he lunges, prepare for attack!

He was Paul Di'Anno and I think he was kicked out because he was constantly drunk all the time or something like that. Not totally sure though. He's a pretty good singer, but I still prefer Bruce.

Yeah he's pretty good, his random laughs and 'yea''s are great lol.

i used to admire him....... but then i grew up..... :)

He was alos arrested before Maidens first gig in front of Rod Smallwood, so Steve had to Sing...oh how I wish I could have seen that.

ETT, He could always try to run around with an acoustic. And Janick does run around, especially on Hallowed be thy name video.
