My old guitarists band. He has our old drummer (whos still in my band) playing bass and some other kid on drums. He sings in one song. Absolutely terrible vocals. And i wouldnt call them post-hardcore.

http://www.purevolume.com/dramaticreenactment

Ack, its bad, or at least worse than i thought it would be. This is the reason he started his own band and left the one he was in with me. It really irks me that he said he left because i wasnt 'trying new things', even though he said all of my ideas were 'wierd and gay'. Bleh.

Matt? 03-24-2006 06:13 PM

i just listened to every song

some weren't too bad, some were

singing was bad though

cobert 03-24-2006 06:16 PM

Yeah, ive heard the first 2 on there since he wanted to play them when we were still in the same band. Opposable thumbs was kinda catchy.

Matt? 03-24-2006 06:26 PM

yeah i liked that one

man xiu xiu/ bunkbed split is really great

Wow 03-24-2006 06:29 PM

I play professionally 'cause I'm cool.

Well, used to. Team disbanded so now we're not sponsored anymore. :(

Matt? 03-24-2006 06:32 PM

cobert 03-24-2006 06:37 PM

My old friends dad used to be on the #1 ranked team in a game called tribes.

Matt? 03-24-2006 06:41 PM

edit: you guys should really check out bunkbed if you haven't heard them, well i've only heard the song on the xiu xiu split but it's really cool ****. kinda post rockish i guess, with good vocals

luvin it

Wow 03-24-2006 07:57 PM

Uh, it's $20 to get it, along with 4 other CD keys. That's if you're playing 1.6, of course. You can buy Source for like $30 but Source is awful.

Matt? 03-25-2006 03:11 PM

battletoads and double dragons: the ultimate team

pixiesfanyo 03-25-2006 04:04 PM

i remember Spider Man Maximum Carnage was a pretty hard game.

rememberthis 03-25-2006 06:58 PM

Matt? 03-25-2006 07:00 PM

whiteminority 03-25-2006 07:08 PM

Super Mario 64 is honestly the best video game ever made.

Matt? 03-25-2006 07:13 PM

Matt? 03-25-2006 07:28 PM
You get those red/blue plastic cups and have 10-20 depending on how awesome you are. Each person gets 5-10 and you fill them 1/3rd of the way with beer and then stack them in a pyramid. You take a pingpong ball and try to bounce it into the other person's cups and if you do, they have to drink one of them. First person to drink all their beer loses.

K?
Typical US thing I suppose. We've got numerous games with cards and dices involving beer but none with pingpong balls.

ps Sinaloa and Ampere were great!!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my favorite of all time, with a bunch of other games at the top of my list: Mario Kart 64, Mario 64, Sonic the Hedgehog, Contra, Chrono Trigger, Mario RPG, Final Fantasy (any of them), Earthbound, Megaman...oh man, soooo many good games.

SNES and N64 are my favorite platforms, by far.

legend of zelda ocarina of time- when i beat that it was epic, it was like sheer joy of completing a game i'd played for so long. so fun so perfect.

mario kart 64- i sucked at this game but it was still loads of fun, stupid bananas pissed me off though, i'd always get screwed by those dumb items and stuff. i sucked at combat mode or whateer it was.

sonic the hedgehog- this game is boss. i played this so much years ago when genesis came out. 2 is definitely the best, metal sonic is a bitch, but the music in this game is just awesoem. the air zone when you're on tails' plane is just the best song ever.

contra- i never played 1 or 2 but 3 is one of my favorite games. so intense and hard, i suck at it, but it's still so sick. man i love the rapid fire rockets. i always die on the second level when it switches perspective though, it always takes me by suprise.

chrono trigger- maybe my favorite rpg of all time, this game was so epic! ahh i love it

megaman- way too hard for me :( :( i lack the skills to be good at this game, but i have 7 and X and they're both pretty fun

man gav you have cool videogame taste, i agree about the snes and n64 as best systems

a lot of gameboy games are pretty fun too, i like the zelda gameboy versions

this thread is now maybe 20% dorkier

pixiesfanyo 03-25-2006 10:30 PM

Earthbound was the mother fuckin' shit.

Especially because it came in that big *** box.

Side note: How did Coheed and Cambria go from SSTB to that gayness they play now.

Matt? 03-25-2006 10:33 PM

i dunno i didn't really like them in the first place, but i really don't like their new single, the vocals sound so out of place, but they're so high up in the mix.

i remember i had like a guide to beat earthbound, because it was too hard for me to beat without it. fun game

castlevania, that game is boss. man what a sweet game, i haven't played it in ages.

man why does no system have as fun and cool games as snes.

deadohiosky9 03-25-2006 11:44 PM

super mario 64 is amazing.

Wow 03-26-2006 12:32 AM

Dude it was all about GoldenEye. If you disagree, you are wrong.

Mute Print 03-26-2006 12:33 AM

GoldenEye was so awesome. I think I still have it somewhere.

Truth.

The Sega Genesis was my favorite system. The playstation was all right but Final Fantasy VII and Crash Bandicoot 2 made owning it fucking awesome.

whiteminority 03-26-2006 02:20 AM

I think I am gonna have a heart attack: La Quiete, Phoenix Bodies, and Sadville are playing in Knoxville (20 minutes from me) in August.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 03-26-2006 10:27 AM

I got a question: Are Noise and Noisecore real genres?

pixiesfanyo 03-26-2006 10:31 AM
I got a question: Are Noise and Noisecore real genres?
Yes.

If you want some good noise there are basically the big three: Lightning Bolt, Black Dice, and Wolf Eyes. Melt Banana plays second fiddle.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 03-26-2006 10:52 AM

I already listen to Black Dice and Wolf Eyes. I love Wolf Eyes. I saw Noise used as a genre and I didn't know if it was correct or not. Thanks.

RetiredAt21 03-26-2006 11:24 AM

Melt Banana sucks.

Luxor 03-26-2006 11:34 AM

Lightning Bolt rules.

RetiredAt21 03-26-2006 11:49 AM

I heard some Lightning Bolt awhile ago, I can't remember if I liked it or not though. Does anyone have any links to MP3s of their songs?

Matt? 03-26-2006 11:52 AM

DaveToopes 03-26-2006 12:21 PM

Matt? 03-26-2006 01:05 PM

they're good every once in a while i don't listen to them much

bottlerocket 03-26-2006 01:12 PM

That game rules.
