That's amusing...I sometimes meander, but I'd say my biggest problem is too many points at once, and everyone gets bored before they have a chance to be amazed at my brilliant connections...but hey, no biggie.
At least you can remember what your connection were. I'm like Peter in that one episode of Family Guy where he goes off on a different tangent with each sentence.

BRIAN: Do you actually listen to yourself talk?
PETER: Eh, I drift in and out.
God, I'm still reeling from Dimebag's death. That's gonna hit a whole ****load of people really hard too, and I bet the guy that shot him was some dick Pantera fan that probably hated Dimebag for not trying hard enough to keep the band together or some bull****. What a ****ed up planet. The guy was harmless. Why on earth would you shoot a guy like that?
I'm not even a Pantera fan, and even I didn't want to believe it. As I said in another thread, not many guitarists these days actually develop their own sound unlike anyone else's. Dimebag was an exception. You can't measure the value of something like that.

Bartender 12-09-2004 02:15 AM

Anyone here a fan of the His Dark Materials trilogy of books?

If so, have you heard the ridiculous news about the film version?

Cain 12-09-2004 02:16 AM

I love Family Guy. :D

Cain 12-09-2004 02:17 AM

Ehhh, ok. I've been writing a conference paper for five hours and it still isn't finished...I'm goin' to bed now. Night, guys.

ArcLite 12-09-2004 02:17 AM

Bartender, I think I've heard of it. What's the basic storyline?

Steerpike 12-09-2004 02:17 AM

Can't say that I have.

Though speaking of film, wish me luck as I'm trying to get a new project underway for this summer. I'm going to be working on a film adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's short story "Pickman's Model."

Steerpike 12-09-2004 02:18 AM
Ehhh, ok. I've been writing a conference paper for five hours and it still isn't finished...I'm goin' to bed now. Night, guys.
I better duck out too. I have to meet my friends for lunch tomorrow, so I can't sleep in. And then I need to turn in my final paper for Horror Fiction. Come to think of it... why am I still awake?!

Bartender 12-09-2004 02:20 AM
Bartender, I think I've heard of it. What's the basic storyline?
The basic storyline of the books is slightly too vast to outline in the few minutes I have before I have to leave for my tutorial. The problem with the film version is, the director has decided to remove any anti-religious sentiments from it. This may somewhat nix the success of the translation though, since the first two books, solid though they are, lead straight up to the third book, and the third book is all about a war on God. Stupid, stupid, stupid decision.

Goodnight, Ripper. Goodnight and good luck, Pikey.

-edit

nuts on it, I need to stretch my thinking box.

Permanent Solution 12-09-2004 02:29 AM

Or just think outside the box

xizoesira 12-09-2004 02:30 AM

It's way too cold out there.

Permanent Solution 12-09-2004 02:32 AM

Oh. Fair game. Wait...Cali gets cold? Pfft!

xizoesira 12-09-2004 02:36 AM

Us Californians are pussies about cold. We're going to get beaten up by canucks.

Permanent Solution 12-09-2004 02:38 AM

Indeed, I live in AZ right now, and I am going home to CO in a week, it will be freezing :(

xizoesira 12-09-2004 02:49 AM

There's a guy from Colorado in my philosophy class... he was going on about how weak California weather is.

If I end up following through and spending time in Seattle in a few years, that'll be a spin.

Permanent Solution 12-09-2004 02:52 AM

No, Colorado is still 100x more hxc than Seattle. :p

xizoesira 12-09-2004 02:54 AM

Oh, I don't doubt.

Sleep takes me.

gmoneyguy 12-09-2004 10:34 AM

How is every one on this sad day?

shortass 12-09-2004 10:35 AM

Terrible. Sound like you've had a bad day too

gmoneyguy 12-09-2004 10:36 AM

Ya hearing that a guitar great got murdered doesn't make for a good day.

shortass 12-09-2004 10:37 AM

Oh yeah! sorry...can't believe I forgot :upset:

Ganondorf 12-09-2004 11:20 AM

hey, RHCP fans, cruise on over to the pop-punk forums and vote By The Way as the best album art. http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=275000

If you can't be bothered to exit this thread. :)

RHCP forever!

I Am Vikingcore 12-09-2004 04:00 PM

RHCP own, so yes I will vote.... but they aren't pop-punk!

Kingofdudes 12-09-2004 04:00 PM

Dimebag's death seems to have led to a lot of extra posting. :/

I Am Vikingcore 12-09-2004 04:26 PM

I was annoyed about it too... most of the accounts that voted for stairway had like 13 posts... methinks they are dummy accounts.

Permanent Solution 12-09-2004 04:28 PM
Guess who forgot to vote.
If it was you and you were going to vote Maiden. God just eternally damned you, I want you to know.
