I've been put off Rock Band because a friend of mine said he played it and broke the drums - not because he was smacking the crap out of them but because they were really badly made.

they certainly have the energy, and it would be a fun show and all, but instrument wise it's AWFUL. 2:56-3:00 in the video for example.

while the guitarist was restringing or whatever the singer went on a rant about how much he hates the new 'green' trend and straight edge kids, which was way more entertaining than their actual music

what was even gayer was Overkill canceled so they got bumped up a slot and played for 45 minutes

The Acacia Strain's riffing has never been that technically impressive. They're just genuinely brutal and awesome.

i know that all they do is chug chug squidly but they're live performance is mostly just vinny going rah rah ahhhh, and the guitarist doing really sloppy chug chug squidly's. the pinch harmonics were good though.
