Blatant advertising.

Why is the YSI thread unstickied, and closed?

Jom 06-01-2005 07:20 PM
Why is the YSI thread unstickied, and closed?
It was an experiment to see if it'd run efficiently.

Plus, there was talk about which threads to unsticky, and the YSI thread was the most mentioned. It will survive on its own.

Bartender 06-01-2005 08:45 PM

And if it doesn't, then stickying it won't help anyway.

Advertsing.

And yes, some of these stickies could do with an unsticky.

I'm fairly certain some judicious bumping could keep the Metal comp up around the first two pages.
1. No creating posts or threads specifically for flaming another person or for flaming/slamming bands. If you're going to say some band or some artist sucks, explain why. If you can intelligently explain why you hate a certain band, we will generally leave your post alone. This rule applies to replies about bands in threads. If you post "Van Halen sucks" in a Van Halen thread, your going to be temp. banned.
No, for the other guy's thread. He made one on Tuesday or last week or whatever, and it got closed because, well, it was a genre-bashing piece of crap. So he goes and makes another thread of the same content and it went over even worse. I think it's pretty ban-worthy.

clearvision 06-03-2005 10:06 AM

Avenged should be banned...

MXican was only playing.
Mods, I need your clearence to make a normally illegal thread, I'm currently working on a In Flames biography for Computer Applications (to show I can integrate multiple programs together to make a presentation), and for a graph I'm doing most popular album, so could I please, please, please do a 'Favorite In Flames Album' thread?
Guys, I really need this OK'ed or at least a response, I have 1 day left to do this project.

Also, why has this spam been overlooked:
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343206

Jom 06-04-2005 10:23 PM

Eleventeen, assuming that either a) the mods don't give you a response, or b) they tell you no, why can't you judge make up numbers for your data? Based on peoples' reactions to In Flames around the forums, you could just do that.

However, I can imagine that since it's for school, that they'd allow it. I would recommend that your opening lines say something along the lines of, "This is my statistics (or whatever class it is, I can't remember) final, and I need to collect some data. Very simply, select which In Flames album is your favorite. I appreciate the help.

(insert In Flames discography)."

Then, when you're satisfied with your data, then they'll close it, probably.

But again, I don't know what they'll tell you, if anything.

If anything, you should have learned that you should prepare better for school :p

Bartender 06-04-2005 11:59 PM

Yeah, Eleventeen, just go for it.
