Ha, James, you have the heaviest british accent I've ever heard :p

Or your tired/drunk

The fade-in was sweet, too.

I am more tired/drunk than anything else. Although I'm sure my accent is outstanding. I might get my drummer to make a podcast... he has a superb London accent. I'm more northern.
I've heard your babbling/secksi voice when you posted your band playing Minority.

Don't worry though, I'll hear it eventually.

 again
Night, dude.

BridgeToSolace 12-05-2005 10:56 PM

That third band is tight :D

omg and I get a mention!

AND A BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE SONG!

Sweet.
Hello, everyone. How've you all been?

Listen, I have a little proposition for those interested:

R&M is running a song cover competition that, at first, was going to encompass only rock and metal (before, it was only a metal competition).

However, after some deliberation and also to try to reach out to the other genre forums, I'd like to extend the invitation to you guys as well.

The rules and guidelines are in the first post of that thread, right here.

So, if you guys have recording equipment and would like to submit an entry, by all means, please do so. It would be nice to have numerous entries from the different forums.

If not, then sorry for the interruption, and carry on.

Hope everyone's doing well. If you have any questions or anything, please e-mail me at my MX address or post in the thread.
Hey Jom. How's stuff?

Listen to my podcast. I insist!

If theres a snow day I'll seriously consider doing this. Although I'd probably just make it acoustic unless I feel like dragging my amp upstairs.

I'd probably do something really trippy, though. Like Hammer Time, or a Kelly Clarkson song.

Yeah, SikTh rock! Unlike my arsehole former housemate, who loved them.

Jom: I'm very tempted to enter my instrumental version of Basket Case. Do you reckon that would be cool with the R&M community?

BridgeToSolace 12-05-2005 11:07 PM

Actually, I could really easily do Stay With Me or Right Now.

Yeah, that's not a horrible idea.

billiejoe84 12-05-2005 11:13 PM
Actually, I could really easily do Stay With Me or Right Now.
What bands? I'm thinking Finch and Korn although I dunno if that would be accurate.

To be fair, my instrumental Basket Case is v.boring and unlikely to impress anyone, but I'd like to at least have a go.

Also: Checkit... http://www.purevolume.com/sikth
Korn? Hahaha, I'm talking about that band Sr-71. The song that talks about fake plastic submarines. I learned that and Stay with Me for a gig my band did a while ago. I sang too, so it wouldn't be that bad.

I can't do solo on my acoustic though. For some reason that make it impossible to go above the 14th fret.

Any submission would be cool with the R&M community, as I want as many people as possible to participate.

Vocals are not a requirement, so yeah, whatever you want to do, it's all gravy.

PDWAB 12-06-2005 02:01 AM

Hey so remember when I thought my roommate caught me jerking off? Slightly better news, this time he almost walked in on me and an actual girl!

Gnarmageddon 12-06-2005 06:00 AM

By actual you mean blowup, amirite?

Hi Jom.

Jon: He told me it will be mid-January before he won't have computer access.

Listen to my podcast!

Dead Star 12-06-2005 10:04 AM

So today I found my Zen lying on my bedroom floor. It must have fell out of my bed when I was listening to it last night, I must have fallen asleep. Which isn't good, as my bed is about 6 feet off the ground.

Now its just stuck on the shut down screen, good job I'm going into Glasgow on saturday. I'll get it fixed then.

Lawl, I'd love to have a 3 piece suite in my room. Instead, I have a guitar amp, a bass half-stack, and a drumkit.

And a nice carpet of pizza boxes, lager cans, and clothes. I love living in squalor.

I have enough room left for a computer, a table and a chest of drawers for my clothes/tv/fridge/other electrical goods.
