Well, I can confidently tell you, you easily can be good enough. As to playing with them, that's a different matter itself. You can easily be good enough though... easily...
Heh, thanks. I'm not going to go all out planning on playing with them, but if the opportunity to audition does happen to arise...I'd go for it. |
^You'd be surprised.
Further more, if Japan had not attacked the US. Then WWII would have ended much quicker, as a substantional amount of resources would not have had to been allocated to a seperate war on a different part of the world. Non the less. I never had a choice, or an opportunity to vote on the current US position. The public does NOT support the current war. That much is clear. Talk about the Government all you want. But as an American I am just as much against the current situation as anyone else. And just as helpless to do anything about it. |
i didn't say that they wouldn't, and i was a little unclear on the basis of my original comment. I was talking along the lines of the happenings inside said camps. Very good arguments my friend.:chug:
I enjoy a good one every once in a while. |
I agree, many things go wrong. However more of that may to be to blame of the people in charge, vs government orders.
Ultimate power corrupts ultimately.. or some such. Really a friend showed me a great quote.. I fail to remember who by, something along the lines of - "As long as governments keep killing their enemies, it is reasonable to expect individuals to do the same on occasion." |
Oh my.. it's already started... this year is looking to get bad... the noobs are coming!!! The noobs are coming!!!

"As long as governments keep killing their enemies, it is reasonable to expect individuals to do the same on occasion."
Ahh, reminds me of a Derrick Jensen quote I love: "I've heard it said that approximately the same number of people control 95 percent of the world's economy as are in solitary confinement in the United States. There can be little doubt as to which group has killed the greater number of people. The same would hold true for which group has stolen the most, especially if we include resources, and which group has most damaged the planet. It is entirely possible that we have the wrong population in solitary. But, of course, so long as those in power decide who goes to prison, those in power will not go to prison." |
I would dissagree...
The people who have power, who control the wealth, do so at the publics needs. The wealth is created from spending... people will never stop coveting peoples goods, and will ever stop buying things. You can't blame it on the Suits for trying, it's the public for buying. The public consumes the resources, by demanding the products. So long as there is a need, there will be a company to fill it. There is however, no needs of the public met, by those who commit crimes that land them in prison. Point in case - People talk about Oil, and most always in relation to Gas. Fact the matter is, FAR more oil is used to make products, anything rubber, plastic etc. From any and everythign Rubber to plastics, and the shipping of any product on massive ocean cargo ships, to the big rigs that run everywhere devlierying everything, to the planes and trains that move people around the world.... |
Remember guys.
"Metronomes are gimmicks" - Jeff Berlin  |
Arg.
Free Enterprise homework. Why is it that whenever I most want to practice I have something I *need* to do instead? Lame >=( |
The people who have power, who control the wealth, do so at the publics needs. The wealth is created from spending... people will never stop coveting peoples goods, and will ever stop buying things.
Define "public". I doubt you're including the people who's land and resources are stolen as "the public". And as far as I know, the families in India don't "need" to be kicked off their land to have a chemical plant put up, and I'm pretty sure it's not their "need" to be exposed to the carcinogens and pollution. Actually, it's kind of the opposite of a "need", wouldn't you say?
The public consumes the resources, by demanding the products. So long as there is a need, there will be a company to fill it.
And as long as there is a company to fill it, there will be more killing, stealing, and damaging of the planet in order for the company to fulfill this duty.
There is however, no needs of the public met, by those who commit crimes that land them in prison.
So a man stealing a loaf of bread (we'll start little, stealing a loaf of bread isn't really solitary-worthy, hopefully) to feed his family is meeting no needs of the public? A protestor chaining him/herself to a tree in an attempt to save the tree (and the message they are trying to get across would be for the forest) to be saved isn't meeting any public needs? "Public needs" doesn't have to mean "capitalist needs."
Point in case - People talk about Oil, and most always in relation to Gas. People live on the ground. Companies with full government backing extract this oil from the ground. If a company finds an oil deposit under a family's home in India, that family is gone one way or another. Draw your own conclusions. What is the justification for jail time? Murder, theft, damage? Surely a couple more. Now, how many CEO's of major corporations have you seen in jail? Personally I haven't seen a single one. I don't imagine you want to make the case that CEO's of many major corporations aren't responsible for atleast a single murder (including deaths by carcinogens along with general pollution, insane workplace hazards like in the Union Carbide Plant in Bhopal, etc), theft (remember, we're including land and resources), and damage. |
w00t, I finally ordered Pearl Optimounts!

Wow.
I got off the internet, messed around a little, went to bed, woke up, took a shower, ate breakfast... And one person has posted in the hold since. Do I live in serious off-hours or something? Jeez. |

I would if I could.
But it's 6:14 in the morning and I still have to get ready for school =( And defrost my car. There's ice on it. I thought I lived in the desert =/ |

Yeah. I dislice the ISS too...it sucks balls. I think I might buy a Mapex pro-m set next...cuz it a good kit, not as expensive as the best and highest end kits, but does the job good enough and if I get one I really wouldn't need a new kit for a looong time, mabey never. :chug: |
Hehe, yeah my next kit'll probably a Mapex Pro-M, Premier Artist or a Peace Paragon. Don't know yet, gotta save for my drivers license first :p
