I respect just one man in this world. Mr T.

Brilliant. What did they do? You should just explain that the word isn't offensive while saying it as many times as possible.

Angry Balled Fists! 07-15-2006 09:59 AM

Haha they were like "omg you cant say that word, it's horrible" etc

It was funny.

asdf 07-15-2006 10:39 AM

A couple of my friends get offended by the word cunt. So because of that my brother's girlfriend makes a point to say it way to often. It's quite funny to see the reactions.

ah, thanks.

Ghostfire3 07-15-2006 06:58 PM

No prob. Also I would like to mention that your band picture scares me.

asdf 07-15-2006 08:59 PM

I just got back from seeing a band that everyone on the forum hates; Mindless Self Indulgence. It was quite a crazy show.

Ghostfire3 07-15-2006 09:01 PM

I hate them!!! jk. but i rly don't like them very much.

asdf 07-15-2006 09:17 PM

Hey, everyone should have one band that it shameful to listen to, yet they like it anyway. MSI has to be my choice.

Although in certain friend circles (mainly if I'm around my brother) my shameful music is Against Me! or anything ska.

Hey, all that matters is that you like them.

One of my friends is way into them. He dresses mad-hot topic style and has blue hair, so all the psuedo-punk greenday fan kids at my school idolize him and consequently like MSI too.

Or hell, maybe they actually just like MSI's music, I don't know.

asdf 07-15-2006 09:36 PM

No one actually likes MSI's music. They just want to get up front so they can make out with Jimmy Urine. Or at least that's the conclusion I have come to after being at the show.

I know they're a joke, I know what they do is attention-getting bull****, I know they hate most of their fans. The fact that so many people don't know this I find funny. For some reason I like their music, though. I just like the sound of it, even if the lyrics are pretty terrible.

TakeWarning 07-15-2006 10:00 PM

I've never heard Mindless Self Indulgence, are they worth checking out?

Flagjacket 07-15-2006 10:05 PM

No.

There's this cool electrowhore kid Alec at my school and all the girls are frie ds with him and he got everyone into MSI. I still don't like them though.

Glitterati 07-15-2006 10:06 PM

This girl I'm sorta involved with really really likes them. They were just in Vancouver like a week and a half ago, she went to see them. They just seem too weird for me, and this coming from a guy who listens to Gogol Bordello. I had never even heard of them before I met her.

Flagjacket 07-15-2006 10:11 PM

I knew about them in sixth grade and liked one song.

coheneran 07-16-2006 10:00 AM

I went to the Ad7 show with a friend yesterday, and met up with UK_Ska_Scene or whatever her username is. I got a glimpse at Pickle Dick before shaking my head and going back to the bar, had a great time skanking and pogoing and headbanging (sometimes all at once). Then my stallmate wanted to go see Ad7 so I stayed at the patch stall and smoked a joint with some emo kid, and danced to Everybody Hates, which is their only song I know.
They must have been preppys. Do you remember what school they were from?
Well them ones were from some University in Georgia.

Aweomse you met Jas!

coheneran 07-16-2006 11:24 AM

Yeah, I said "Hey you're Jas from the internet aren't you!?" and she got mad. Good times.

Angry Balled Fists! 07-16-2006 11:26 AM

haha, the only person i've met from mx is kif.

Neoteric 07-16-2006 12:38 PM

Wow, Black Flag are awesome.

Glitterati 07-16-2006 01:52 PM

Damn skippy they're awesome.

The only time I came close to meeting an mxer was I almost went to a local rock show with pikester. He lives like a half hour drive away from me, we'll have to chill some time.

sketchyjoe 07-16-2006 03:08 PM

I think I've seen Jas at gigs but never been quite drunk enough to say "Hello, you know me from being an arsehole on the internets!"

Danger Bird 07-16-2006 04:07 PM

Hey everyone look at The Coffin Daggers.
http://www.myspace.com/thecoffindaggers

Their self-titled album sounds like the Pulp Fiction soundtrack on acid.

You're a butt plug I need to meet you.

How about you come to my house on Tuesday morning and meet me and Eran. It's not gonna be creepy or anything. King Blues are rapping their stuff out, like.

Drop a line to jas[at]pmzine[dot]co[dot]uk for some info and that if you wanna come (do it do it do it).

sketchyjoe 07-16-2006 04:47 PM

I'd love you but unfortunately Tuesday is the start of my new job that I really need. I'll see you at a gig at some point though, definitely.

SantaDuJuan 07-16-2006 05:53 PM

Jobs suck.
