Hooray for double posts.

Silenius 12-08-2004 11:31 PM

Ripper, why do you only have three stars?

Cain 12-08-2004 11:47 PM
Ripper, why do you only have three stars?
I've been wondering that ever since they appeared. It's been causing me a probably undue amount of stress. No one's answered the post I made in the Report Problems thread...I have only seen maybe two other people with three stars, and I frankly don't understand it.

Permanent Solution 12-09-2004 12:03 AM

Three is still better than none though, yes?

xizoesira 12-09-2004 12:04 AM

You're stressed because of one less star?

...

Permanent Solution 12-09-2004 12:06 AM

I'm stressed because I haven't cybered in almost six hours now i think :(

;)

xizoesira 12-09-2004 12:37 AM

You e-slut.

Bartender 12-09-2004 12:49 AM

I think three stars is cool. Means you're not one of the masses with four stars. Not quite unique, but close.

Cain 12-09-2004 12:56 AM

Thanks, Bartender. That makes me feel a bit better about it.

/wants four anyway. :upset:

Yeah, honestly it does make me feel better though. And yes three is better than none. I'm not really going to rest until I know for sure WHY exactly I have three. That's all. It's just impatient curiosity at this point, since that reputation announcement by MX obviously left a lot of stuff out.

Check this out. That StrikerSC guy's (frankly fucking stupid) post about Dimebag, about halfway down the page. It has, rightly, scored him a fair bit of negative rep - from 13 different users so far.

EDIT: For once in my posts, no hidden message or subtle implications. I'm saying, neg rep him further.

xizoesira 12-09-2004 01:20 AM

People keep making new threads. I want to hit them with a mod stick.

Permanent Solution 12-09-2004 01:21 AM

Bartender, you rock, because that is like saying, hey everyone, give this guy neg rep! :)

I make no sense :upset:

Bartender 12-09-2004 01:24 AM
People keep making new threads. I want to hit them with a mod stick.
I think something of a temporary amnesty should happen. So long as literally every thread is not about it, it's a big enough event to warrant quite a bit of activity.

Bartender 12-09-2004 01:25 AM
Bartender, you rock, because that is like saying, hey everyone, give this guy neg rep! :)

Makes perfect sense to me. In fact, I meant to put something explicit on the subject at the end. Thanks for reminding me.

xizoesira 12-09-2004 01:27 AM

Did Peel get this kind of reaction here?

Bartender 12-09-2004 01:29 AM

No, which I agree is unforgiveable.

Who is Peel?

Bartender 12-09-2004 01:34 AM

xiz - Was that a good :amaze: or a bad :amaze:?

Those of us who knew who he was mourned, just unfortunately we were pathetically few. Anyway, it doesn't stop this whole Damageplan shooting incident being as shitty as it is.
Who is Peel?

John Peel, a legendary radio DJ. Legendary in England anyway, though his influence is felt all over. He died a few weeks back, of an unexpected heart attack.

Look at it this way: I get people praising me at least once or twice a week for putting some random noob or troll in their place, but don't get much in the way of rep points.

I'm sort of an unsung hero, as it were. :D

You got stars. When you get a gift, don't ask questions.

Bartender 12-09-2004 01:39 AM

I give you rep when I can (only once so far, though..having to spread it around is annoying), because ninjas are awesome, and so are your posts, generally.

That gamespy thing was awesome! Hadn't read that before, so I'll probably start now. Thanks.

Already a fan of Weebl and Bob.

I don't suppose you read Little Gamers (www.little-gamers.com), do you? I haven't read it for several months now, but I used to read it every day. Very cute, very Swedish, and stuffed full of ninjas.

I didn't think it was particularly funny, but it was very cool that the ninja pirate is, from what I can gather, also a mushroom.

Good point. I can't believe you don't get more rep though Steerpike, because you are one of the most intelligent, kick-*** users we've got on these forums. I tried to give you some, but I had to spread some around...curses!

Very geeky humor, but Aaron Williams' is one of the influences of my current sense of humor. He has a great turn of phrase.

Haven't read Little Gamers yet. I love the surreality of Megatokyo and the ninja character Junpei.

Chris the Ninja Pirate is my favorite character. There's a distinctive food pattern to that cartoon.

Cain 12-09-2004 01:54 AM

Out of curiosity, where are you from? Just wondering how known Peel is outside of the UK.

I tend to be a bit of a tight-*** with rep points... When I remember that I can give them.

I honestly don't consider it a normal day unless my train of thought gets derailed while I'm in mid-sentence at least twice. One of many phrases my friends are used to hearing from me is "I'm not quite sure where I was going with this..."

EDIT: In fact, I'm not really that sure where I was going with this...

xizoesira 12-09-2004 02:02 AM

b33r!*

I'm from Southern California, Bartender. I originally found out about him from a friend. I don't know where he found him.

That's amusing...I sometimes meander, but I'd say my biggest problem is too many points at once, and everyone gets bored before they have a chance to be amazed at my brilliant connections...but hey, no biggie.

God, I'm still reeling from Dimebag's death. That's gonna hit a whole ****load of people really hard too, and I bet the guy that shot him was some dick Pantera fan that probably hated Dimebag for not trying hard enough to keep the band together or some bull****. What a ****ed up planet. The guy was harmless. Why on earth would you shoot a guy like that?
