Shattered_Future 05-06-2007 10:02 AM

I never liked Metal Church.

pate 05-06-2007 10:14 AM

Metal Church is amazing.

Angmar 05-06-2007 10:53 AM

The bit i have heard by them was pretty sweet.

Superfly 05-06-2007 11:28 AM

Any Labyrinth fans here?

Nepenthe 05-06-2007 11:41 AM

Hear the timebombs begin to tick!
I'll hit you like a ton of bricks!

Riva 05-06-2007 05:38 PM

Metal Church is bloody fantastic. Their S/T has a great cover of Highway Star.

That's a great cover.

Stormrider 05-09-2007 06:22 PM

I'm listening to Jag Panzer's Ample Destruction. Hadn't done so in a long time. And damn, this is really good.

pate 05-09-2007 06:59 PM

I'm the only person that likes 4 or 5 of their other albums more than that one.

Stormrider 05-09-2007 07:03 PM

Well, I can't say, as this is the only Jag Panzer album I've heard. I'll be getting some others if there are any that are similiar to this one.

Shattered_Future 05-09-2007 07:16 PM

There's another band I don't like...

Chris Broadrick has mad chops though.

Riva 05-09-2007 07:17 PM

I haven't heard a Jag Panzer album I didnt' like, but I only have Casting The Stones, Ample Destruction and Thane To The Throne.

Who likes the new Cage? It's power metallish.

Stormrider 05-09-2007 07:18 PM

I dunno, this is kind of in the more traditional range, which is something I'm not very fond of, but this right now is MUCH more appealing then the Edguy album I listened to a couple of days ago.

Shattered_Future 05-09-2007 07:19 PM

Jammie, once again, you need to leave and go cut off a limb for disrespecting Edguy.

Stormrider 05-09-2007 07:21 PM

Eh, they just seem to be one of those bands where I enjoy a couple of songs off an album and not the whole thing. There are some songs that I absolutely love, and then there's others which are very average.

Riva 05-09-2007 07:34 PM

It's alright, I feel the same way about them Jammie.

Stormrider 05-09-2007 07:35 PM

:)

I need to go and relisten to some Seven Witches aswell.

Nepenthe 05-09-2007 07:36 PM

I've only heard The Hellfire Club, and I usually feel like turning it off about 3 minutes into the second track.

But I could listen to the opener a few times in a row. Mysteria is some real power metal goodness. The Navigator is pretty good too, but the rest of that album is beyond mediocre.

Riva 05-09-2007 07:37 PM

Anyways, back on topic.

Cage's new album, Hell Destroyer. Like or loathe?

Shattered_Future 05-09-2007 07:38 PM

Are you HIIIGH? That album is terrific.

We Don't Need A Hero
Down To The Devil
King Of Fools
Forever
Lavatory Love Machine
Rise Of The Morning Glory

Dude, all of those are feckin' amazing.

Haven't heard that one, but I don't remember if I like Cage or not...

Nepenthe 05-09-2007 07:39 PM

King Of Fools is aight, and Lavatory Love Machine is pretty fun, but the rest is still mediocre.

Stormrider 05-09-2007 07:40 PM

Piper Never Dies is a good track.

Shattered_Future 05-09-2007 07:41 PM

I guess you're just a douchebag then. Shame...

Nepenthe 05-09-2007 07:43 PM
Piper Never Dies is a good track.
Agh that song is horrid. 9 minutes of the same mid paced Dio ripoffage over and over and over. And right after that blazing opener! Talk about terrible song placement. Never, never put a mid paced, plodding, near 10 minute song right after your first track. Especially if it's one that kicks your *** as hard as Mysteria.

Riva 05-09-2007 07:44 PM

Heh, or even put it first like Stratovarius did with the title track on Destiny. :p

Shattered_Future 05-09-2007 07:48 PM

Yeah, I don't like The Piper Never Dies that much...

pate 05-09-2007 08:16 PM

Jag Panzer is SO much better than Edguy, and I love Edguy.

Stormrider 05-09-2007 09:12 PM

Meh, I dunno, I like Piper Never Dies. Last time I listened to it atleast :p

Romanticide 05-10-2007 12:53 AM

Speaking of..is anyone waiting else waiting in anticipation for the the new Black Majesty album?

And yeah. i Got Angra's Aurora Consurgens and uhm. I'm disappointed in them.

shadow_stalker 05-10-2007 12:45 PM

Black Majesty's new album has really cool artwork to it, i may get it for that reason alone.

Is it already out? Excellent!

Stormrider 05-10-2007 02:38 PM

Yeah ! new avatar

Stoic 05-10-2007 02:57 PM

What is it Jammie?

Stormrider 05-10-2007 02:59 PM

Jag Panzer's Ample Destruction.

Mikesn 05-10-2007 03:10 PM

I like Mechanized Warfare a little bit more tbh, but Ample Destruction is pretty good.

Stoic 05-10-2007 04:12 PM
Jag Panzer's Ample Destruction.
Good pick, never bothered to see how it looks like, lol :p

Stormrider 05-10-2007 04:17 PM

Heheh. I've listened to it twice so far today. I'm really loving it. Are the albums after AD any similiar to it ?

Lord Abortion 05-15-2007 04:54 AM

Never really got into Jaz Panzer, a bit like Metal Church, I could never quite see what all the fuss was about.

In no way, shape or form are Blind Guardian appearing at Bloodstock.

Riva 05-15-2007 05:10 AM

Come on MSN, Ollie. :(

Sarah apparently didn't pass on my message to you.

Stoic 05-16-2007 08:11 AM

Ollie, Ollie, who's Ollie?
