they put on one of the better live shows that ive seen, so much energy and so much fun to just go nuts to. i hope you some of you enjoy them as much as i do

pedro durruti 11-28-2006 10:23 PM

Anyone who likes Anarcho punk will probably like Thatcher on Acid. I know anarcho punk doesn't really have a distinct sound, but just give them a listen.

In this post: I personally recommend Scholastic Deth to everyone!

DaveToopes 12-02-2006 12:33 AM

Scholastic Death rules. Also if you like them check out Code 13 and Municipal Waste if you haven't already heard them.

Municipal Waste are the most amazing thrash/crossover band I have ever heard.

Here's something if your into the whole street punk thing I guess, they're a local band around here. They're amazing live (last night I was there as a guy got pushed into the mic stand and chipped the singer's tooth), and just crazy energy-wise.

www.myspace.com/broadcastzero

If you guys want to hear more, just ask me about it.

DaveToopes 12-17-2006 05:30 PM

Yeah bro last year I listened to Municipal Waste for like 2 months straight. So good.

Aus Rotten 12-17-2006 08:22 PM

Seen Municipal Waste twice, and they have NEVER disappointed.

AIRIC 12-17-2006 08:32 PM

Obviously they're one of the best bands ever. Waste 'Em All is a flawless album.

Ghostfire3 12-28-2006 06:40 PM

Someone recommend me a good album by The Damned besides Damned Damned Damned and a good album by the Dead Boys besides Young Loud and Sontty

Thx.

Flagjacket 12-28-2006 06:41 PM

Both bands only have one other album. Use a damn WIKIPEDIA.

Ghostfire3 12-28-2006 06:45 PM

Really? Because if I'm counting right then actually both bands have more than 2 albums.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Damned#Discography
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Boys

Flagjacket 12-28-2006 07:02 PM

The Dead Boys have two LPs and the reat are like BONUS EDITIONS and live albums and crap.

And i guess I was wrong about the Damned.

AIRIC 12-28-2006 09:32 PM

Machine Gun Etiquette for the Damned. We Have Come For Your Children by the Dead Boys

Scuba_Steve 12-29-2006 10:53 PM

What are some essential Oi albums?

I've been listening to **** Sparrer's Shock Troops for the past week almost non-stop. What are some other cool sing-along based oi bands?

Flagjacket 12-29-2006 10:53 PM

AIRIC 12-30-2006 09:43 AM

Oi! is easily the worst genre in punk, but if you insist, I recommend Oxymoron - "F'uck The 90's, Here's Our NOIZE!", 4 Skins - "One Law For Them", or Angelic Upstarts in generally are pretty good. My favorite Oi! band would have to be Major Accident, although I believe they're technically a "clockwork" band (what a lame-a'ss genre, amirite?) In any event, definately check out Major Accident if you dig Oi!

Flagjacket 02-06-2007 09:33 AM

Okay guys.

Be totally honest with me here.

Are there any good Hatebreed releases?

DaveToopes 02-06-2007 09:55 AM

No but Icepick is ace :thumb:

F'uck if I know, Kevin. I'd ask in Hardcore

Flagjacket 02-06-2007 10:01 AM

Yeah I alrady know Icepick rules. REAL RECOGNIZES REAL

Excursions 02-06-2007 01:40 PM

Someone recommend me some obscure modern hardcore.

Flagjacket 02-06-2007 02:21 PM

Throwdown

RetiredAt21 02-06-2007 02:59 PM

Throwdown are not obscure. Try Ringworm.

Flagjacket 02-06-2007 03:03 PM

I was joking.
