That's all I do. Kerry doesn't even call it a solo he calls it "noise".
That's true, but what about the intro solo to the remix of Criminally Insane? Every tab site I look up doesn't have it. It is the most awesome solo I've ever heard, even better than Eruption.

down load guitar pro or buy it is really good then go to www.mysongbook.com well u can download a free 30 day trial there its really good. helped me out alot.
haha i know i was thinking the same thing to  i was like u can play postmortem and raining blood but u can hit a bunch of strings while hitting the whammy bar
I don't use my whammy bar. I don't have a clamp for my guitar so my strings go wayyyyy the fuck out of tune. :) I know it's kinda sad for a person who's been playing for 3 years, but I only own an Ibanez GRX20. It's basically in the same catagory as a bronze warlock. (NICE, HUH?)

I want to save up for a nice esp f series. Maybe then I can practice with a whammy more.

yeah i know what u mean. my jackson used to have a really ****tY brisge with a whammy bar but someone sold me a floyde rose for 200$and that problem is gone now :thumb:

lightningmetal666 08-17-2005 12:54 AM

Hey nontie69, I already have the trial version of guitarpro but none of the versions have the solo I'm talking about. Ya know when the original criminally insane came out, how after the intro Tom would just scream the chorus? On the expanded version of Reign in Blood they add Aggressive Perfector and a Remix of Criminally Insane that replaces tom screaming the chorus at the beginning with the most wicked and awesome solo that I've ever heard. That's the solo I've been wanting to learn.

The remix is also on the Soundtrack to the Apocalypse box set. (Which I own.)

lightningmetal666 08-17-2005 01:24 AM

Hey guys, I just got a crazy thought? Maybe we can ask sonorken if he can make this thread official? Maybe that'll attract more Slayer fans. Whaddya think?

That has been brought up before. I don't think they'll make it an official thread though because people aren't constanlty making threads about Slayer. It's big enough though to just become one, and it might cut down on future Slayer threads.

Question for you, since you have the Soundtrack to the Apocalypse.. could you upload me Ice Titan? I would be your best e-friend on here.

man, F series is awsome, i plan to get a F-255, a five string bass....

anyway, i should probably look up a slayer discography, but i'm too lazy and i think i'd get a faster answer, but what album came after Show No Mercy, i really liked it and i'm hoping the album after is still in the same style. I mean, Reign in Blood slayer was awsome too, but i like the real old school thrash sound of Show no Mercy.

btw, metal storm/face the slayer is ace

KBSD91 08-17-2005 01:41 AM

Hell Awaits (Their best album) came after Show No Mercy.

The Treason Wall 08-17-2005 01:52 AM

thanks, that'll probably be my next slayer purcahse, that is, if i get to it. I'll probably be too busy blowing money on some Black or power metal...

Apocalyptic Raids 08-17-2005 07:31 AM

I agree that Hell Awaits is their best album. It contains the best aspects of Reign In Blood and Show No Mercy rolled into one.

The only downside is the average production.

Yeah, I want the F-400, or (even though it only has a fixed bridge) the dave mustaine DV8R. I've seen the Tom Arraya ESP bass and was wishing they made a guitar bassed (hahaha get it bassed :upset: ) off of it.

I want to buy Hell Awaits and Show No Mercy. I've only heard the most famous songs off of them but I want to get into the other songs on them.

I once had the opportunity to buy the Haunting The Chapel Cd but I saw it only had 5 songs on it, yet it was the same price as Reign in Blood so I got that instead. (It was a good call 'cuz my favorite song ended up being Jesus Saves.)

What's your fav. song off Hell Awaits, mine is At Dawn They Sleep, but I also love the intro to Necrophilliac.

Also thanks for the uploads lightningmetal666.

The Araya ESP signature bass is the F-series body except I think the edges are rounded off.
The Araya ESP signature bass is the F-series body except I think the edges are rounded off.
True but it also had some custom and very sick pentagram inlays. The rounded edges are also cool. It look like a nice bass to riff on.

aaahh man get the tom araya bass not the 3500$(cdn$)one. i got the cheaper one then that and its amazing. uyou may pay a little more for this but its a lot better then any f series bass. in my oppinion it has such a nice deep tone and just sounds amazing.

YES MAN THIS BASS IS SO AMAZING. IVE GOTTEN TO MANY COMPLIMENTS ABOUT MINE :thumb: . JUST DONT GET IT IF YOUR PLAYING JAZZ AND OR OTHER THINGS I THINK THIS BASS IS MADE JUST FOR METAL.

KBSD91 08-18-2005 04:19 PM

I wouldn't mind getting Jeff's signature guitar. But I don't have the dough.

Yeah, but I'm not a bass player. I was just wishing they made a six string guitar that looked like tom's bass.

nontie69 08-18-2005 07:35 PM

hahahaha if u had the money u could get a custom and tell them to make it like tom's bass. :naughty:

That would cost a lot of money. Since ESP doesn't customize for individuals (unless you're a famous musician). He'd have to have a guitar store call in and have them order and say the customizations.

why is it cheaper to have a local store call in and order to tell them the customizations. i did it on the website for a custom V-Bass which would be f*&&in awsome :D but it said it would be about 3500$$ :upset:

No, ESP would only make YOU an custom guitar if you had a store (Guitar Center... etc, etc) call in and order, and that would cost even more because the store is going to want to make some profit as well.

ooohhh so would it be cheaper to do it like right from esp like over the internet?

KBSD91 08-18-2005 07:54 PM

Yeah I guess but like I said ESP doesn't customize guitars for customers like me and you, but for authorized dealers, so you'd need to go through a dealer.

Quote from ESP website.
Orders may only be placed through authorized dealers (ESP does not sell direct to consumers). You can locate an ESP dealer in your area by clicking on the Authorized Dealer listing, or by calling ESP at 800-423-8388 extension 205. lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 07:56 PM

I tried getting a quote from esp in the past (just kinda playing around) and ended up with a quote of $5,000 usd!!!

Yeah, I've been messing around with that, I'm trying to see how high I can get it. So far I've only got $5,150.

hahaha  is that how much it cost for all dealers because i really want to get a custom V-Bass :upset: but i just cant find one and i dont like the gibson one at all.

vashts80 08-18-2005 09:05 PM

Ehm, you can order a custon right off ESP's site...

lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 09:15 PM

I'm bidding on a Hell Awaits CD on Ebay. I've been the highest bidder for 2 days straight so I think that I might actually get it. So far it's only like $7 u.s.d

Good price, I paid like 15. But 30 dollars would have been worth it. In my opinion it's they're best work. It's got epic songs. Awesome riffs, and loads of warp-speed.

lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 09:48 PM

Yeah, I just hope by mentioning it no one else will steal it from me. I've also got a bid on the best of motorhead for $1. LOL. What an insult to such a great band.

Necrophiliac, followed by the title track.

Hanneman's ESP's are very nice.

lightningmetal666 08-18-2005 11:56 PM

On the the dvd part of STTA (i think it's on there. I haven't seen it in a while). I like how Tom introduces Necrophiliac. That's the most disturbing image anyone's ever described verbally.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-18-2005 11:59 PM

Is it the same way he introduces Necrophiliac on Still Reigning...?

lightningmetal666 08-19-2005 12:39 AM

I dunno, haven't seen still reigning yet. I know on STTA he's talking about el douche (probably spelled wrong, also singer of some death metal band) eating out a decaying female.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-19-2005 12:42 AM

On still reigning he talks about the maggots crunching in your mouth, when you eat her out.
