Nice. New conversation then.

I finally got around to buying British Steel (found it for $7 used), and I actually find it better than it gets credit for. Rapid Fire is awesome.
i totally agree

wat cd do u think is Priests best album?

im going with painkiller because that was there comeback album and it was a great comeback album from the court case with the crazy kid that killed him self.

Apocalyptic Raids 02-17-2006 08:03 PM

I'm saying Painkiller since it's one of my favourite albums ever, but Screaming For Vengeance is awesome and Unleashed In The East is one of my favourite live albums.

The Hellion/Electric Eye is awesome.

Deth 02-17-2006 08:04 PM

Painkiller or Stained Class is my favorite, depending on what mood I'm on.

That kid
I haven't seen them live :(
Ahh ur really missing out.

I saw them live about 5 months ago in UTAH. I was very surprised them came.

It was soooo amazing. It was soo awsome. especially when they played victim of changes.

They played the solo for over 5 minutes. like 5 minutes of just straight soloing

im only 15 and im so happy i saw them before they will break up. Anthrax came too. It was a good performance but not as good as PRIEST.

do u like "tentacles of whorror" better than the "tenth level of sub suicide"?

Aakon_Keetreh 02-17-2006 08:15 PM
Yes I have :D
What did u think of them live?

rippa32 02-17-2006 08:15 PM

What is this about Diamonds And Rust? You mean you prefer the original Joan Baez version? Or did Priest do two versions?

Deth 02-17-2006 08:19 PM
What did u think of them live?
Incredible. Right on the money with all the songs, Halford sounded great and the setlist (except for Turbo Lover) was to die for. Probably the best concert I've been to.

They played Turbo Lover too. I didnt like it.

I was sad for a bit because they didnt play "the ripper"

Scuba_Steve 02-17-2006 08:31 PM

Can't believe I hadn't seen this already.

Big priest fan, favorite album is probably either british steel or painkiller.

Also, what do you guys think of death's cover of painkiller?

well, the album version is soft and played on acoustics, but for a long time they played a heavier version live. I think they've gone back to playing it in the acoustic style live though.

i enjoyed it very much.

Deth 02-17-2006 08:34 PM

Death's cover is awesome! I love it.

PepsiMetal 02-17-2006 08:35 PM

What are some good songs from painkiller? I have the song painkiller, but that's the only song from that album I've heard.

Rrrrrrr 02-17-2006 08:37 PM

Leather Rebel, One Shot at Glory and Night Crawler are my favourites (aside from the title track of course).

Hell, just get all ten songs, they're all great.

Deth 02-17-2006 08:43 PM

Painkiller, Hell Patrol, All Guns Blazing and One Shot At Glory are my favorites.

Its nice to see that this thread is alive.

Aakon_Keetreh 02-17-2006 09:00 PM

and now it just died.

Deth 02-17-2006 09:01 PM

Not having a post in 15 minutes doesn't mean it's dead.

eh, true.

Leukeh 02-17-2006 09:08 PM

Haha, I didn't know this thread existed. But I love the band... I only have two albums though (Angel of Retribution and Painkiller)

Interested in getting some more...

Deth 02-17-2006 09:09 PM

Go buy Screaming For Vengeance or Unleashed In The East ASAP.

123. I'm still amazed that they pulled that album out that late in their career.

rippa32 02-18-2006 01:54 AM

I think Sin After Sin is an amazing ablum its more Rock than Metal but even if you prefer metal is a very good album(actually its the only one I have, hopefully I can get Painkiller soon).

me too. there metal gods

Riva 02-19-2006 04:46 AM

It's a pity Ram It Down didn't have so much filler, or it may have been as great as Painkiller. That being said, I think Ram It Down and Hard As Iron are on par with the great songs of Painkiller.

Apocalyptic Raids 02-19-2006 04:51 AM

I don't have Ram It Down yet :(

It was in a sanity (:O) store for like $15 but I didn't have any cash :(

Riva 02-19-2006 04:59 AM

That's okay Jon. I'll forgive you, this time.

Apocalyptic Raids 02-19-2006 05:05 AM

>_>

<_<

Lucky I didn't mention the minor fact that I don't have Sad Wings Of Destiny.

o shi

Riva 02-19-2006 05:10 AM

That's it. You die now!

Apocalyptic Raids 02-19-2006 06:57 AM

I beg for mercy from your army of killer Koalas.
