TheSubtleArts 11-11-2004 06:01 PM

which songs on mfkr do you guys like better that thier remakes on s/t? i like (sic) more than slipknot, but i like the versions of gently and tattered and torn better on mfkr more than the ones on s/t.

relliK 11-11-2004 11:57 PM

The Gently from MFKR owns the hell out of the version of Iowa.Hands down. The only downside is Anders. His vocals dont do it for me.

Tattered and Torn(MFKR) < Tattered and Torn(s/t)

Iowa > Killers are Quiet

Only One(MFKR) > Only One(s/t)

kevster49 11-12-2004 12:28 AM

I like anything off of iowa and self titled but i dont like there new cd

relliK 11-13-2004 07:53 PM

I just read at metabolic666.com that Sid broke his leg at a show.Ironic considering Craig just returned.
i guess im stupid but i just realized that (sic) is basically a remix of thier first track Slipknot off mfkr.
Definatly not.
Corey is Christian????????? That is one messed up Christian he writes songs about the devil. There band named is Slipknot and has a pentacle behind it. Like the other guy said "The Heratic Anthem" keyword "Heratic" 666=Satan.
I believe you mean heretic not Heratic. And heretic doesn't necessarily mean you're satanic, by defination it means: a person who holds religious beliefs in conflict with the dogma of the Roman Catholic Church

Just because someone is Christian doesn't mean he can't sing songs about the devil. I really like that song and I'm a Christian, just because it talks about Satan doesn't mean it has to effect your religion.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I'm Christian, but I love the Heretic Anthem.

And I loudly sing the chorus :p

Actually, thats not a big deal.

In all seriousness, 1 out of 10 girls in Italy looks like that. I saw better looking girls just in my town, which is small. No exaggeration whatsoever.

So what?

That doesn't mean we could get in the pants of said girls, does it?

Root is. Therefore Root >> Us

Okay, first of all, why do you even bother coming into a possitive thread, only to bash the band that's featured? Second of all, Slipknot only has 9 members, not 10, and ppl is not a real word, which brings me to my next point, you need to learn proper English. Oh, and by the way, no one here cares whether or not you like Nirvana.

Pale-Folklore 11-16-2004 04:33 PM

yes, gently is awesome. i don't actually own MFKR, but i have downloaded all the songs on it since i can't find it. its totally awesome...Slipknot, Confessions, Gently, Do Nothing/Bitchslap, i love all those songs ! i just wish i had the cd.. the old stuff is so much better.

Brew 11-16-2004 04:35 PM

I downloaded Do Nothing/Bitchslap the other day, and I must say the jazz part in the middle is fantastic.

Also, the use of bass is great, I should be getting a copy of MFKR soon.

Pale-Folklore 11-16-2004 04:37 PM
I thought Corey said he was going back to Stone Sour in '05, but I could be wrong...
that would be cool. personally i kinda like stone sour better than slipknot

Where did you find it? I've looked in numerous places, I even searched ebay a while back and I couldn't find a copy :upset:

does anyone have the full astoria concert?? or the full rock in rio??
and does anyone know if slipknot is adding more canadian dates? or any further word on there tour with lamb of god

The JoZ 11-17-2004 11:34 AM

MFKR is a great record. I don't really like Anders' singing, however, but the rest of the album, especially the basslines are awesome.

It's really hard to imagine that it's the same Paul Gray on MFKR and on the subsequent albums.

check slipknots web site www.slipknot1.com it has some stuff about the canadian tour dates and lamb of god.

i agree, i think mfkr is one of the most original and unique albums ever made.

Brew 11-17-2004 02:37 PM

My friend has a copy of MFKR, he's going to do me a copy when he gets some blank cds :)
