Your avatar makes up for it.

If it's any consolation, I also don't have OK Computer. But then that's only because I don't like Radiohead enough.

i'd have understood if it was Kid A, but OK Computer is a really good one, still accessible enough for a simple indie kid like me. i'd give it a whirl, what's the worst than can happen?

Bartender 11-15-2004 11:00 AM

Well if I see for anything less than premium price, yeah, I'll buy it. So far I only like one Radiohead song though (and that's from a different album), which wouldn't really justify paying full price.

asymm 11-16-2004 08:36 PM

just ordered a few...

Olivia Tremor Control - "Dusk at the Cubist Castle" (All of Well_Respected_Man's boastings put me over the edge :) )
Iran - "Moon Boys"
Ghost - "Hypnotic Underworld"
Cyann & Ben - "Spring"

guitarbaz 11-17-2004 05:17 AM

got a couple more yesterday

graham coxon - happiness in magazines
kasabian

the coxon one i'm liking from the first listen, it's as good as blur should have been in the latter years, i'm guessing albarn's influence dragged them down as this solo one from coxon is superb.

the kasabian is going to take a bit more listening to however...

The Ashtray Girl 11-17-2004 05:44 AM

^I love both of those albums. Going to see the coxmeister week after next - w00t!

manuscriptreplica 11-17-2004 07:00 AM

Yay  How is it?

Bartender 11-17-2004 10:35 PM

Well, I think it's excellent. But then, would you expect me to think anything less?

It's a lot jazzier than anything else I've heard him involved with so far, but there's still bits of all kinds of genres in there.

when i come across a guitarist who's sound i can't really emulate they get my utter respect there and then. coxon is top of that list, closely followed by johnny marr. both fantastic examples of how to do it properly. :thumb:
