Snowball Fight 07-29-2006 06:35 AM

Green Day is the easiest stuff to play. ever.

AZNMan#2 07-29-2006 11:18 AM

Umm blink ftw.

poprocks&coke 07-29-2006 05:13 PM

I've heard they're retiring at the end of their next album.

Dead Star 07-29-2006 05:50 PM
I've heard they're retiring at the end of their next album.
Thats possibly quite a wise move.

yourstruly 07-29-2006 06:57 PM
Umm blink ftw.
Do you mean Blink's easier to play? Blinks songs are pretty difficult compared to Green Days.
Do you mean Blink's easier to play? Blinks songs are pretty difficult compared to Green Days.
I guess they each have their own easy songs to play.

yourstruly 07-29-2006 07:02 PM
Thats possibly quite a wise move.
yeah, they've pretty much done everything any band could ever wish for
I guess they each have their own easy songs to play.
yeah I guess.

poprocks&coke 07-29-2006 07:04 PM

Plus they're loaded.

Billie Joe's son better watch out...

Not that I'm a golddigger or anything... Lol.

Snowball Fight 07-30-2006 04:01 AM

I can't think of a complicated Green Day song on guitar.

Blink has a few though.

poo-poo-pee-pee 07-30-2006 04:22 AM

Neither bands have complicated songs, but I had alot of trouble learning a few blink songs. M+M's was a bitch to learn, haha. And I used to have trouble keeping up with the little interlude in Carousel.
I have yet to find a Green Day song that I can't play along with while just reading the tab as I go.
Actually, I do usually loose it in some of the older solos, but a little practise, and they are very easy.
Yeah, so my vote goes to blink for more complicated guitar parts.
But on bass.... I think you all already know.

yourstruly 07-30-2006 04:25 AM

haha yeah. Green Day songs are just fun to play really.

poo-poo-pee-pee 07-30-2006 07:25 AM

Amen brother.

There's nothing better than sitting at home, putting on a Green Day album, and strumming along to every song.

Well, sex is up there too.

Superman 08-01-2006 09:57 AM

Green Day are miles better than Blink, for some reason, I dont feel Blink ever did fit together. Tom was always 'angels and airwaves' Travis was like, "i wanna be in Rancid" Mark is just different again.

Snowball Fight 08-01-2006 11:03 AM

Yeah, Tom always talked about his new band AVA from the very beginning.

Travis is the only one that didn't fit, but imo it worked fairly well.

Mark and Tom were best mates for ages, so of course they worked.

: /

AZNMan#2 08-01-2006 11:27 AM

The Mark and Tom Dynamic Duo was orgasmic.

Scott was cool, but Travis always seemed like a douche.

Was it their cover of The Saints Are Coming with U2?

Bad Blood 10-21-2006 08:27 AM

Probably.

I wasnt really listening, I just heard them mention greenday, then a couple of songs later, someone said to me "is this greenday" and i was like 'oshi yeah'.

Ross 10-21-2006 01:40 PM

Ah, the wonders of the Green Day thread. Haven't seen this thread in months.

Similarly, this is the first news I've heard from Green Day in months. Nothing seems to be happening at the moment. Anyone with any rumours/news on a new album?

Fire Away 10-26-2006 05:43 AM

Hmm.

Ross 10-26-2006 05:50 AM

Haha, he's never going to win that.

poo-poo-pee-pee 10-28-2006 03:28 AM

Anyone know what's going on with this 'American Idiot' movie they were talking about over a year ago?

yourstruly 10-28-2006 05:22 AM

this is a pretty funny interview with Green Day, right before they went big. They're all wasted as,

Ross 10-28-2006 09:06 AM

Haha, I like that interview.

Tre: "Yeah, a Rock Opera"
Billie: "s'called Jimmy"

This is in '93. Kinda shows the middle finger to that guy who says he wrote American Idiot ^^

Oz Rembrandt 11-11-2006 12:37 PM

OZ

*hugs*

I'm not letting you go this time.

And that song is poor, they kills house of the rising sun, and there's no houses in new Orleans left, so the lyrics are wrong.

Oz Rembrandt 11-11-2006 05:36 PM

Lawlz

There is... no house... in New Orleans...

poprocks&coke 11-18-2006 03:22 PM

I hate U2.

Surtr 11-18-2006 04:23 PM

I hate U2 also.

And tbqh, I have no love or even liking for Greenday anymore..:(

Untitled 11-18-2006 04:27 PM
