guitarcreep13 11-21-2004 12:46 PM

Hey thanks for the suggestions.
reading all of this, I guess i'll get Paranoid. Cause almost every one suggests it. :thumb:

SalomeHigher 11-21-2004 01:06 PM

PARANOID IS FANTASTIC.

it's metal before it got lame and pretentious.

Yeah, that's the one I started with.

Brew 11-21-2004 02:31 PM

I think the first Sabbath album I heard was The Greatest Hits (not We Sold our Souls or The Best Of, this one is probably hard to find these days).

Then I heard the s/t album and eventually the rest of the Ozzy albums before getting into the post-Ozzy stuff last summer.

Riva 11-22-2004 01:18 AM

First I heard was Master Of Reality on tape. :p

shadow_stalker 11-22-2004 08:50 AM

the first sabbath album i heared was the best of black sabbath, but when i got i only listened to iron man, NIB and paranoid until i decided o listen to the rest

i was a little linkin park boy before then

Brew 11-22-2004 01:59 PM

^Aww, cute :p

I heard all of my Sabbath on vinyl, the only one I've bought on cd is Paranoid, the rest I copied from vinyl to cd.

Oz Rembrandt 11-22-2004 02:04 PM

Im more a Punk fan, but I'd just like too say- Black Sabbath are the Best Metal Band ever!! (Except maybe Led Zepllin, or Linkin Park- Im joking!!)

I first heard Black Sabbath by By Black Sabbath while slightly drunk, quite miserable and in the rain in a car... Changed my life...

liberator of squeezy cheese 11-22-2004 02:26 PM
I like 'War Pigs' a lot. The more I've listened to Black Sabbath lately, I've noticed that they sound a lot like Led Zeppelin. Has anyone ever noticed that or am I crazy?

Monti
dude your friggen right. i just noticed that the other day when i picked up one of their best of double items. id have to say my favorite sabbath song of all time is either sweet leaf, symptom of the universe, or NIB. iron man is probably my favorite song period.

shadow_stalker 11-23-2004 12:12 PM

Brew 11-23-2004 02:49 PM
now how did i know that your were going to say either volume 4 or never say die?
You know me too well.

Also, notice the lack of songs off Paranoid on my list :thumb:

ToRidTheDisease 11-23-2004 02:50 PM

Paranoid isn't that bad.

Brew 11-23-2004 02:54 PM
Paranoid isn't that bad.
Its alright, I don't really like it much these days though.

Also, did anyone else hear about the burglary at Ozzy's house last night? He chased and tackled one the robbers down, but they got away with around £2million worth of Sharons jewellery.

shadow_stalker 11-23-2004 02:57 PM

yeah i heared about that, sharon was being a bit bitchy about it on the news though

they need some decent security systems

ToRidTheDisease 11-23-2004 03:01 PM

Someone like Ozzy couldn't afford better security?
