I remember they were on mp3.com, but I just went there and it doesn't look like it used to...what happened there?
They closed down for a while, then when it came back up it became gay.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 09:22 AM

:)

They are a good band...I could definitely see them getting signed but I think they're being a little picky about who they sign with. Every time I go see them play theres another label they're talking to.

I think they want relapse because Neurosis is on relapse if I'm not mistaken?

(They love Neurosis).

The only flaw in the band in my opinion is the guitarist doesn't play and solos...he's self taught, so he doesn't know how. Last time I talked to him though he said he wanted to learn.

Bartender 08-20-2004 09:28 AM

I'll download some of their songs in a while.

Your friend's name is Robin Williams?

Bartender 08-20-2004 09:30 AM

I just realised my 7000th post was in a thread about Taking Back Sunday. Fuck.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 09:31 AM

^^^

Robin Williams, yeah. No relation to the comedian, of course.

I don't see him as much anymore...his ex-fiance is a good friend of mine and I used to see him when I went to see her. Now I only really seem him at shows. It's kind of weird to balance between the two of them. Like I always say, marriage (or an attempt at it) ruins relationships.

halfdeadhippo 08-20-2004 09:33 AM

I bet people ask him that all the time, too.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 09:38 AM

Yeah, they do.

Working where I am, I see tons of warranty claims (with peoples names on them). I don't understand sometimes why people name their kids so stupidly.

If your last name is Thomas, would you name your son Thomas? Someone did. I get this guys phone one day: Customer name: Thomas Thomas. Like, WTF? Might as well have called him Thomas the Tank Engine, its so stupid.

The Asians KILL me though, they are so funny. Ho is a very common last name, so I get stuff like:

Anita Ho (say it out loud, sounds like "I need a ho")
Yung Ho
Mary Yung
John Fukashima

We have this customer who calls in, "my name is karen p-u-s-s-y" (spells it out).

Sometimes I get hippie names like Rainbow or Moonbeam, stuff like that.

Odd people.

 Poor guy.

Dancin' Man 08-20-2004 09:45 AM

I like people with unfortunate names. All around funny.

Kingofdudes 08-20-2004 09:47 AM

Dick Army

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 09:47 AM

Hell yeah, I would knocked my parents teeth out once I was old enough to realize how stupid my name was.

I was talking to this chick one day, her last name is Jamison. So shes telling me, yeah, my sister Jenna and I...blah blah blah....and I go HOLD ON....you got a sister named JENNA JAMISON?!

Shes like yeah...

I go, is she hot?

She frowns and says "shes 11."

*awkward silence*

me: "So you wanna get together sometime?"

Yeah, that didn't work.

halfdeadhippo 08-20-2004 09:50 AM

What about Zappa's kids? Moon Unit, Gail, Ahmet, Diva, and Dweezil.

Dancin' Man 08-20-2004 09:54 AM

What about that new rapper. Who names their kid 50?

Bartender 08-20-2004 09:57 AM
What about Zappa's kids? Moon Unit, Gail, Ahmet, Diva, and Dweezil.
Bono called his kid Elijah Patricius Bob Guggi Q. And someone from the Jefferson Airplane called their kid God.

Dancin' Man 08-20-2004 09:58 AM

George Foreman named all his kids George.

halfdeadhippo 08-20-2004 09:59 AM

I've been trying to convince my friend Jamie that he needs to name his kid Stuart, because his last name is Pidcock.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 10:04 AM

I'm naming my kid Heywood Jablowme

Dancin' Man 08-20-2004 10:06 AM

Hugh G. Rexion was always my game first person online shooters.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 10:13 AM

FPS...ah the old days of Quake 2...I used to be so good at that game.

Those people are nuts...PGL (pro gamers league)...I know a kid who dropped out of high school to play Quake full-time.

Dancin' Man 08-20-2004 10:17 AM

I played Tribes
I was hella good too.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 10:20 AM

I still love comp games. Good way to zone out and forget everything.

Best game I've played in the past while was Tron 2.0

If you like the movie Tron (which was amazing), you must play that game. Ownige.

Bartender 08-20-2004 10:21 AM

I never played FPS online, only ever on networks. Even then, I prefer Day of Defeat to Quake, etc. There's something so awesome about a bolt-action rifle.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 10:22 AM

Railgun > Bolt-Action

I didn't even know there was a game..I love Tron though, so I'll check it out.

Dancin' Man 08-20-2004 10:22 AM

Tribes was great because of flying. It confused the hell out of people who had been playing Quake or Unreal

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 10:23 AM

The gameplay itself isn't that great, but the graphics and design are beautiful.

I still have to install Doom 3...

Bartender 08-20-2004 10:23 AM
Railgun > Bolt-Action
Maybe so, in efficiency, power, reliability, all that crap. There's just something sexy about a bolt-action.

Paranoidd 08-20-2004 10:25 AM

Maybe because it's like wanking everytime you clear the chamber...you gotta jerk the bolt back...haha

Dancin' Man 08-20-2004 10:28 AM

I remember the really easy FPS's. Quake III was the easiest one ever. The people who played sucked and the weapons were too good.

halfdeadhippo 08-20-2004 10:35 AM

Unreal Tournament > All Other FPS's
