Some London based bands:
Bleeding Oath (progressive metal - similar to early Opeth): https://www.facebook.com/BleedingOath?fref=ts Synesthesia (Hardcore punk - made some cruddy artwork for them in the past) https://www.facebook.com/SynesthesiaUK?fref=ts And there's my band Eight Days From Sunday but this isn't for one's own band so I won't link them.
Did you catch Velcro Hooks from Bristol at the Old Blue in London--maybe not exactly the style of you guys, but cool enough-- https://soundcloud.com/velcrohooks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yej4W0VjXDg |
My 2 favorite local bands that I've been following for the last little bit are:
Man Made Sea (folk rock kinda stuff??) http://manmadesea.bandcamp.com/album/super-saver Baby Baby (fun rock) http://thegospelofrhythmrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/money And, at the risk of being totally lame... My band, "BadaBings" put out an EP not too long ago. Maybe you liek eet? http://badabingsmuzak.bandcamp.com/ P.S. All from the West Point/Columbus/Atlanta, Georgia area!! |
Houston
Moths - Yeah http://moths.bandcamp.com In Braille - Saw them at a festival recently with all these bands in Baytown and they had to be my favorite set. Severed End is a decent noise/grindcore/death metal band from Baltimore. Check em out.

My band's new EP is on Bandcamp, pay as you want deal. Yes I know the artwork's terrible but we kinda rushed to put this out in the end and the artwork's what suffered (the actual music had been in the works for months). We're a lot more focussed on trying to get a full album's worth (aiming for anything up to 16 tracks including intro/outro/interludes/maybe a hidden track), including 6 old ones (3 from this new EP and 3 from our old one being re-recorded) and 6 or 7 new ones + the little bits (we're also considering bringing in guest spots from other local musicians), and we're commissioning a local artist to create the artwork for the album.
Anyway here's the latest EP: http://eightdaysfromsunday.bandcamp.com/ |
