pavement do have their moments dont they! you have to admire their "not giving a shit" attitude towards writing music. their spontaneity and lack of regard for what any critic might think of them is really admirable. Also i would say that they were pivotal in shaping the 90s alternative music scene. so they definitely dont suck. it might not be your cup of tea but one man's poison is another man's meat.
