I don't know. I heard they were throwing out ideas. They're probably going to turn American Idiot into a movie first. The movie will suck hard, but I liked the album.

I wonder what direction they're going to go in for their next album. They obviously can't release another rock opera. They can't go back to singing about being bored in their room--that would sound fake considering their age and their success. I don't want as many slow type songs on their next album (Wake Me Up When September Ends was boring enough), but they can't lose all the growth and ideas they've gained from Nimrod, Warning, and American Idiot. I'll bet there will be some long "Jesus of Suburbia" style songs on their next album. But it probably won't be a concept album.
I can imagine it being a slightly heavier version of Nimrod which would be very good to hear. But somehow i can also imagine this being the very last album :upset: I still haven't seen them yet...

Oz Rembrandt 05-10-2006 02:36 PM

I'd like it to be their last. They should go out on a high I think.

Ross 05-10-2006 03:01 PM

I still want them to do a speed metal album.

SLAYORR style.

punkrocker-182 05-12-2006 03:50 PM

omg i couln't see Green Day doin metal.

B 05-12-2006 03:52 PM

bahahahahaha

They should make an acoustic album.

Consisting only of Good Riddance.

Haha, yeah.

So, did you guys know that Green Day is Serena Williams's favorite band. Her #1 album is Warning and her #2 is American Idiot. Dookie came in at # 6 surprisingly.

Random Trivia from Tennis magazines ftw.

Mr. Pickle 05-12-2006 08:36 PM

i still love green day.

Fish 05-12-2006 11:10 PM

when i saw them in concert they played for over 2 hours! It was long, but every second was amazing :p

poo-poo-pee-pee 05-13-2006 02:07 AM

When I saw 'em they played for nearly 3 hours, I think it was 2 hours and 40 minutes or something.
My mate got in **** with his mum coz she didn't believe they played that long, she thought we were 'roaming the streets of the city'. His mum's crazy.
It was awsome.

Bad Blood 05-13-2006 02:45 AM

Haha, yeah they played for almost 3 hours when I saw them too.

Ross 05-13-2006 04:04 AM

Green Day move incredibly fast. As a result of Time Dilation, to the band it feels like they've only played for an hour wheras to the crowd they've played for a lot longer.

Oz Rembrandt 05-13-2006 06:22 AM

When I first saw them they played for about 2 hours I think. It was awesome.

Ross, Biology>Physics.
Ross, Biology>Physics.
True, sadly.

But at least I know how much heavier something will weigh if I make it go at almost the speed of light.

Cuz that's so much more useful than your knowledge of how plants move seeds about <_<

The Network, is wierd, i decided. Its like when greenday went german. I enjoy them though.

Ross 05-13-2006 11:00 AM

:thumb:

I think they're real cool. It'd have been funny to see what they did live, if they ever did play a live show.

The videos that came on the DVD with the CD were just.. wierd.

exxit152 05-13-2006 08:01 PM

The network does have a live dvd. I think it's "disease is punishment" or something...

Either way i've seen some of the preformances from it and they are pretty good. They also opened for the last bit of Green Day's last tour. Yeah i know, Green Day opening for Green Day. However, I went to a concert with Jimmy Eat World opening, which went on for from 7:30-11:30 no lie. It was reallllllllllllllllly good.

poprocks&coke 05-15-2006 02:38 PM

Sup.

EDIT: Milton Keynes was 2:30 - 11:30. No jokes. And it was one of the hottest days of the year.

711 05-15-2006 04:58 PM

John (AKA Al Sobrante or something) left Green Day to stick with his education.

Dead Star 05-15-2006 05:05 PM
John (AKA Al Sobrante or something) left Green Day to stick with his education.

What he said.
nag*with*a*gun 05-15-2006 05:47 PM

That was a bad choice, I wonder if he regrets it?

punkrocker-182 05-15-2006 06:03 PM

Wow alot of bands drummers have done that before they when't big.

711 05-15-2006 06:41 PM

I heard hes playing in some underground bands or something now. Bet hes pissed at himself.

punkrocker-182 05-15-2006 08:21 PM

Ross 05-16-2006 07:08 AM

Wasn't Tré John's drum-teacher or something? Maybe the other way round.

Oz knows.

Dead Star 05-16-2006 09:39 AM

John taught Tre how to play.

Haha, I was at that, on Saturday.

I got sun burnt so badly too. My legs were so red after that day, it was horrible. :(

punkrocker-182 05-16-2006 12:21 PM

does green day have any videos with john in them?

Oz Rembrandt 05-16-2006 12:42 PM

Nope. The first Green Day video was Longview in 1994, John left about 1990, during the recording of Kerplunk...

nag*with*a*gun 05-16-2006 01:23 PM

I heard that even the band were happy that john left and tre joined them...

exxit152 05-17-2006 06:34 PM

I thought lawrence livermore taught tre how to play. Or atleast got him started.

Johnnyrocker16 05-18-2006 12:20 PM
