Anti-Flag/Paint it Black/Pipedown/Thought Riot in Oct 2003. It was awesome, a lot of my friends went.
|
Local bands for punk. I think Knuckledust were the first Hardcore band I saw though. I can't remember when either shows were exactly.
Do you have a full length you can send me by them? I love the stuff I've heard. |
Bad Religion?
Apart from Bad Religion. Thats like a given. I saw them for the first time this summer, they were headlining a festival, the new slow singlalong intro to generator is way one of the most memorable moments ive ever had at a show. I just remember being blinded by blue lights and just kinda screaming the words at the roof of the tent. |
my first punk show was my friends band the ripoffs, and my first hardcore show was a bunch of local bands like last year and it owned.
|
Blood Brothers/Mewithoutyou/Dredg/Coheed. Its the only one that is near hardcore.
October.
My friend is going to that, where do you live? |
my first punk show was social D.
|
Bane are still better than any of the other bands mentioned. Quit being little jimmy hardcore's.
 |
lower class brats and clit 45. LCB was amazing
|
dont be a dick. |
Warped '04 was my first punk concert, but my first hardcore show was last week I think when I saw Converge, Terror, Mare, and Cursed at the Opera House in Toronto.
|
My friend is going to that, where do you live?
I already went. I live in Iowa. And Pat wins for the best first show. |
Besides Warped and shitty local metalcore, I saw MDC and Instant Asshole last Wednesday in Livermore.:thumb:
|
Other than local bands, the aquabats
|
dont be a dick.
So it's cool when you say if you think a band is better than someone elses favorite band, but I'm a dick when I do it? Quit trying to act like the wise older guy. |
A few weeks ago. A bunch of local bands.
ESIM, Dino Damage, Army of Fun, Love in the Time of Cholera, and This Time It's War. I don't know how to two step or any of that stuff so I sort of felt out of place, but there were a ton of other newbies along with me. My friend introduced me to all the "scene" kids. It was cool.
you live in richmond go see INTEGRITY and IRON BOOTS |
Punk: Frenzal Rhomb
Hardcore: Miles Away |
First one was in April, with ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, and first hardcore show was Septmeber 29th, Bane and CBK.
|
My first was Nofx in '02.

Disagree all you want, just dont do it with condescending little jackass smilies. |
|
Disagree all you want, just dont do it with condescending little jackass smilies.
 That's what those smilies are for. Now quit being a phag and agree that everyone has there own opinion on good bands. THE OMNIPOTENT HAS SPOKEN! |
I never argued that captain copybuddy. Im out.
|
My first "punk" show was Blink-182 about four years ago, I guess. And after that, Warped tour. It was a while before I went to an authentic punk rock show. My first proper 'core show was Dillinger Escape Plan a few weeks ago. |
Anti-Flag/Paint it Black/Pipedown/Thought Riot in Oct 2003. It was awesome, a lot of my friends went.
Oh, and my first all hardcore show was probably March 04, the line-up was Death Threat/Punishment/Subzero/Pride Kills/Skare Tactic/Will to Live and another band or 2 I can't remember. |
Strike Anywhere, The Unseen, and The Loved Ones, before that it was Coheed/Underoath/3, but I didn't like underoath very much.
|
you live in richmond go see INTEGRITY and IRON BOOTS
Don't support integrity, Dwid still plays by that band considering he robbed the orignals of credit the name is pretty ironic cause integrity has no integrity anymore. |
Still go see Integrity.
|
Not really punk or hardcore but my first show(other than the local band scene) was Blame It On Rio, Emanuel, A Change Of Pace and Senses Fail...
Also went to Warped Tour '05 this year. |
First show was Death By Stereo, Misconduct, Tsunami Bomb and Captain Everything. Twas a great show. I think Bigwig played too...yeah they did. I think I left near the beginning of their set.
|
Do you have a full length you can send me by them? I love the stuff I've heard.
Sure. I'm in Uni now though so I can't use SlSk, but I can YSI it and mail you the link if you give me your email address. Anyone else who wants it just put your email down too. |
Bowling For Soup, Jesse James and Farse when I was 14/15. It was awesome and me and my mates got groped by some random 40 year old woman.

FASSW Tour Sendoff Show - Sept 04'
- From A Second Story Window - Robinson - Psypous (spelling?) - Like 6 other bands. |
first punk: Dead Kennedys '05
first hardcore: My Bands shows '05 |
Thinking back H20 was my first hardcore show.
|
I actually think This Is For You fest (two years back?) was my first real hardcore show. I had been to local shows before that but I don't really count that.
|
My mom waited outside for me at H20.
