For every good NOFX song theres five more that suck so bad you want to run up to the Fat Wreck building and take a giant dump full of explosive diarrhea on there door.
Not particularly

That thought had not even crossed my mind.....

Bukowski 10-08-2005 05:55 AM

I like NOFX - they've got some good albums, they're funny and they're quite talented. I don't listen to them alot these days, but i still enjoy them whenever i do.

Punk in Drublic was one of the first albums i ever listened to in full, and was my gateway to good music.

 woot woot
I think I said something. Hopefully not indicates a few things
1. I don't like NOFX that much.
2. I don't want them to tour.
3. I don't want to hear of them.
Then don't post in their thread, problem solved. I hate it when people post in band threads just to talk about how much they "suck".

Drop The Baby 10-09-2005 10:15 AM

i've been to canada, it's really nice there

FightDaPowa! 10-09-2005 02:15 PM

i hope they do something at least as good as pump up the valuum or punk in drublic for the next album...

punk politics as of the last 5 years is the same thing said over and over and over and over and over and over and over again

i dont want any of that...

Hydro 10-09-2005 09:39 PM
They toured Canada in June. They played the whole Decline live at about 6 different shows along with a full set of songs. Someone also asked if anyone had the 7" club songs...yes i have them all.
Are you sure they played the WHOLE Decline? I heard they only played the part with the trombone as an outro to some shows. It'd be pretty difficult to play the whole song without stuffing it up, or getting tired and passing out.

Jaw, Knee, B. Goode 10-10-2005 09:18 AM

haha yeah man they used to just play parts of it. But they played the whole thing about 6 shows in a

Ahh someone finally acknowledges the same message about politics that punk bands sing about since bush got in office. i just want NOFX to go back to the good old days when they made **** up like S&M Airlines... i mean come on... where'd that come from?

Wait.. didnt they write a song about how they hate people that complain? yea on ribbed... umm... cheese/wheres my slice?... yea... and now they have their political album

fragrant_feces 10-10-2005 03:14 PM

They're coming here to Hong Kong in about a month for a show before they head over to their tour in Japan. Tickets go on sale this week and I'm ****ing psyched!
Are you sure they played the WHOLE Decline? I heard they only played the part with the trombone as an outro to some shows. It'd be pretty difficult to play the whole song without stuffing it up, or getting tired and passing out.
My friend's band played it one time at a gig and the drummer's leg almost fell off after it hahaha

Weezerfan_returns 10-10-2005 09:53 PM

Arent the 7" supposed to come at the beginning of every month? Where the hell is the new one?

RandyfromPennywise 10-11-2005 11:09 AM

This is bullsh*t. I have been waiting for NOFX to come to Australia since they came in 2002 (to the f*cking Big Day Out where bands get 50 minutes tops), and they said they were coming in 2004... Yeah, I'll wait for that one you bastards. Sorry, I didn't mean that. JUST COME TO AUSTRALIA ALREADY. FOR F*CK'S SAKE.

Give me a beer, give me a water.

I had a dream I met Fat Mike last night. Very good dream. I asked him when they were playing in Australia next, and he wouldn't tell me, then I asked him if they would play The Decline (the whole thing) when they do, and he said it's too long. I think I asked him how to play some bass part but I can't remember which one or if he showed me. Great dream.

I can play the whole thing on bass without any of those effects. (Or is that FX?) Yeah it's 18 minutes, but they play for 3, 4, 5 even 6 times longer than that at most shows. The hardest part is remembering 18 minutes of song that doesn't really repeat itself or have a chorus! Cool bass parts though.

fatwreckpunk 10-11-2005 01:05 PM

took me ages to learn it on bass, but have finally mastered it now. I met fatty last year in the UK but didnt think about asking him any decent questions. oh well, by the way the next 7" i got today, its on black vinyl as they didnt have the yellow ready in time for this one, i havent had chance to hear it yet though

RandyfromPennywise 10-12-2005 06:26 AM

That's pretty cool - you met the king of Punk. What was he like? Good guy?

fatwreckpunk 10-12-2005 09:35 AM

he was pretty cool, very drunk. i have the picture here for you to see.

http://www.captainsnakeeyes.co.uk/paul%20and%20mike.jpg

I met the rest of the band too apart from Smelly as he was a miserable bastard. I got pics with hefe too somewhere but cant find them

RandyfromPennywise 10-12-2005 10:11 AM

That's gold.

Maybe Smelly's always pissed off now that's he's straight...

iLlA! 10-12-2005 11:22 AM

i saw nofx few months ago here in italy....fantastic!!!i really love them!!:)

Jaw, Knee, B. Goode 10-12-2005 12:35 PM

I wonder if that Italy show you saw is the same one i have a bootleg for from this summer.

I also tried to learn it on bass, but I'm rubbish so gave up after a few minutes.

Oz Rembrandt 10-13-2005 12:42 PM

I only ever saw 'em at Leeds Festival this year, but they were incredible. I loved the 5 songs in 5 seconds bit. :thumb:

M_PET 10-13-2005 08:35 PM

i love nofx, but why
they never come to Indonesia ?

Hydro 10-13-2005 08:41 PM

They never come to New Zealand either!

Buzzbomb 10-13-2005 08:45 PM

I like NOFX, War on Errorism was a let down though. My girlfriend saw them last year with Against Me! and the nubs girl was there.

AIRIC 10-13-2005 08:47 PM

Hahahah! Nubs is such a good song.

Buzzbomb 10-13-2005 08:48 PM

haha Yeah, they brought her on stage too. She has pictures.

Scuba_Steve 10-13-2005 08:55 PM

i've seen pictures of her.......infact I think there are some on NOFX's site

fatwreckpunk 10-14-2005 02:41 AM

yeah there are some on the site, nubs also hosts a web radio show, forgotten the link. She has some great music on it too.

Get Fighted 10-14-2005 09:20 AM

they should tour

Namdrater 10-15-2005 01:05 AM

They are ****ing cool. All their albums are brilliant and sound a lot different to each other. The 7inch songs are alright, there are a lot of cheesy songs on it though. Looking forward to their album in Spring 2006 (will be autumn here). They did the whole decline live and I think they're putting it in the new video/dvd they are releasing (no clue when). Will be so ****ing amazing though! weeehooo

She's a friend of mine. I bowled with her last year at the punk rock bowling tournament. She kicks the ball down the lane, and managed to beat one of our friends.

holy_roller99 11-03-2005 03:20 PM

NOFX is my favourite band ever. but they have such a potential to be so much better then they are now. thier musicianship is surprisingly amazing. was going to go see tehm at warped but i saw they didn't go. they better make it this year

I've always said I love them and I still say so. They're one of my favorite bands ever, but I agree with the guy above me. They could be so much better than what they are now...
