Meh.. not really. I've done pot once. I've never really been against drugs of any form. I just wanted to incorperate my name into my sn, it looked too plain just "Brandon" so that's the result.

I'm edge, kind of. I don't officially declare it, or wear x's on my hands, but I've never done any drugs or drank. I've never even tried anything like that.

I thought it was at least worth a try.

To be honest, I think edge kids who go around declaring the fact, and/or wearing x's on their hands, are just posers anyway. I mean, in my eyes anyone is free to make a choice over whether or not to drink, do drugs, have casual sex, and whatever edge kids shun, but to go around showing it off to everyone is unnecessary as far as I'm concerned. I have lots more respect for people who keep it to themselves.

D: Well, humans were put on this Earth to "mate" (aka have sex for the under-educated around here). So it's kind of natural for us to want to. I have no desire to drink and do drugs though. Sprite Forever.

From what I gather, straightedge is against smoking, drinking, drugs, and promiscuous sex, because they al have the pontential to cause damage to your body and/or mess up your ability to think clearly.

The only issue I'm not clear on is caffeine, although I believe as long as you aren't dependent on it, caffeine is okay in small amounts.

I agree with all the beliefs of straightedge, I just don't declare it. I definately feel it is a positive lifestyle.

If I lived near you I would view you as my best friend I do everything you do (drink, smoke, sex) just on a smaller scale its not an everyday thing haha.

People who bust out the X's and label themselves as edge and all that are kinda lame.

See the thing is I don't want to be dependent on all of these things seeing as I am still only 15 and I get bitched at from most of my friends for doing ****. I mean give me a break its my life let me live it.

Well, yeah, I think everyone should be free to do what they want. I'm lucky - I only got into doing drugs and stuff when I was a bit older so I didn't have the usual parental/concerned friends issues. At university everyone is pretty much expected to be drunk, and nobody cares if you're stoned, pilled, tripping, and of course having sex with anyone who'll let you.


Hence, come to uni.

I actually agree with what your saying. Although I don't agree with drinking, drugs, etc. I do believe people have the right to do so. I have a couple frineds who partake in some of those activities, and as long as they aren't really messing themselves up, I'm not really going to try to hard to get them to stop. It's their choice, even if it isn't something I would choose to do.

That's really all that matters to me. I'm against it, but if someone else chooses to do it, that's okay with me as long as I don't see that they are really hurting themselves.

As far as variety goes, I'll bring a bit of everything. Today I listened to no pop-punk. Just hardcore, ska, and emo/screamo.

Thats what straight edge was originally about. The only member of Minor Threat that did not drink or do drugs at all was Ian Mackaye. As long as they weren't dependant on drugs or use drugs regually etc is was acceptable. Since the early 80s straight edge has become alot more strict to what it originally was, well I guess Minor Threat were not really a straight edge band well I don't believe they think that they were a straight edge band.

I had that problem a little. If you were signed up to Audioscrobbler, it will use those login and password details instead of your Last.fm details. If it isn't that, I don't know.

I geniunely have no idea what's going on. We have 18 members, yet it says we need 15 to see the charts. I think they are clocked up every Sunday or something, I dunno. Maybe I should've looked more into this "project" before we started it
