Wow that's almost impossible. How could you possibly not know the names of the band members to bands you listen to? Haha man I am not giving offence, but seriously how? Anyway good luck with learning them haha. |
Vocals > Trevor Phillips (Unearth)
Guitar > Will Adler (Lamb of God) Guitar > Jonathan Donais (Shadows Fall) Guitar > Adam Dutkiewitz (Killswitch Engage) Bass > Matt Deis (All That Remains) Drums> Chris Brown (Evergreen Terrace) Keyboard > Erik (HORSE The Band) HAHA It's the LYNYRD SKYNYRD of Metalcore haha *If nobody knows who HORSE THE BAND is, let me know on AIM, it's in my profile or ask Jim, and I'll send you a song or two. They self-classify themselves as "NINTENDOCORE", you MUST hear them* |
Randy Rhodes Rules!!!....or RULED!!
**** right he did! And when it comes to vocals in Rock, I think Freddy Mercury owned all. The man could sing anything. Man could he belt it out. One of the greatest Rock Singers of all time IMO. |
Vocals- Chris Cornell
Guitars- Kirk Hammet and Randy Rhodes Bass- Brian Redman Drums- Nicko McBrian |
Vocals - Thom York
Bass/backing vocals - Kim Deal Guitar - Johnny Marr Drums - Carter Beauford (or Meg White... obviously :)). |
Russell Allen on Vocals
Michale Romeo on Guitar Arjen Lucassen on Guitar & Keyboards Tony Levin on Bass
Jim....that would be amazing. although, taking Michale Lepond away from Romeo would result in an incredible unbalance. i love his playing  for me, i'd say: Guitar - Emppu Vuorinen (Nightwish) Guitar/Vocals - Tom Englund (Evergrey) Keys - Michale Pinnela (Symphony X) Bass - Michale Lepond (Symphony X) |
Guitar: Jimi Page
Guitar: Brian May Bass: John Paul Jones Drums: Neil Peart or John Bonham Singer: Robert Plant |
Holy crap this is gonna be tough :p I would take a combination of the following (or all at once....that would rock!!):
Vocals: - James LaBrie (Dream Theater) - Corey Taylor (Slipknot) Guitars: - John Petrucci (Dream Theater) and Steve Howe (Yes) - Head and Munky (Korn) Bass: - John Myung (Dream Theater) - Robert Trujillo (Metallica) Keyboards: - Rick Wakeman (Yes) - Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater) I feel a little biased towards Dream Theater because everyone in that band is just plain amazing at what they do. I must say though that if you chose some of these combinations that sure, it would be cool, but it wouldn't quite fit right. The best way to see these musicians is to get them with their respective bands or with musicians from the same genere. That's why lists like this are hard.....I wanna put the musicians in there that would fit in with each other well, and I ended up putting the respective members of Dream Theater in each category :p |
vocals: axel rose
guitar: kurt cobain guitar: santana bass: getty lee (sp?) drums: john bonham |
Vocals: Beck
Guitar: Steve Lukather and Walter Becker OR John Scofield and Joe Satriani Bass: Flea Drums: Neil Peart Haha well that wouldn't really work... but those guys are some of my favorites. |
Neil Peart and Flea are awesome!!

Mark and Tom from Blink. Coolest people to hang with
|
Heck yea, levins the man.
hey jim, perhaps you could help me out. i hear alot about levins technical skill and i definitely respect him as a bassist, but i dont hear anything that stands out as amazing. i own both lte cds, discipline, and a few other things with him on them and i just dont get it. as for my list: vocals: chris cornell lead guitar: jeff beck rythym/2nd lead: eric clapton bass: john entwistle keyboards: jon lord or rick wakeman drums: vinnie colaitu or dennis chambers im a classic rock junkie. and that group would probably sound terrible together. |
vocals and guitar- jimi hendrix
drums-john bonham bass- flee |
guitarist= Tom Morello (Rage against the machine)
singer= Corey Taylor (Slipknot before Vol. 3) bassist= Ryknow (Mudvayne) |
Vocals: Matt Bellamy (Muse)
Lead/Rhythm Guitar (alternating): Kirk Hammet/Herman Li (DragonForce) Bass: Cliff Burton or Flea Drums: John Bonham |
guitarist= Tom Morello (Rage against the machine)
singer= Corey Taylor (Slipknot before Vol. 3) bassist= Ryknow (Mudvayne)
Good choices.....why only Corey before Vol. 3? I thought his voice sounded great on that album (although I must admit his screaming was best on the self-titled album). Nice icon btw....that episode of Family Guy was actually on TV tonight  |
Maynard James Keenan - Vocals
Adam Jones - Lead Guitar Munky - Rythm Guitar Les Claypool - Bass Danny Carey - Drums |
Great choice on bass hollow. Claypool was someone I was thinking of.
|
i find it funny how some people basically chose a band that already exists....its odd
Vocals: (any of, depending on what type of music id write) clean: DT guy, or Maynard (tool) rock/death metal: Alexi Laiho all the way powermetal: Chic from Nightwish Guitars (lead/rhythm) alexi laiho to do gat as well (cus he can) Dragonforce guitarist Bass: Cliff Burton I guess (havent really thought about it) Drums ooh the fun ... Scott Columbus (Manowar...just listen to achilles, agony and extasy - i think thats what its called) :D My superband. |
Vocals:
- Greg Lake Bassist: - John Entwistle Guitarist: - Hrm...Robert Fripp? He's not the most amazing, he's just a prog musician, and if I made a band it would be prog. If you wanna throw other parts in there, it'd be: Keyboard: - Keith Emerson Drums: - Carl Palmer So basically ELP and a few other guys. Entwistle so Lake can focus entirely on singing, and Fripp so Lake can again focus entirely on singing or rhythm. Give 'em a taste of the KC days. |
Vocals-Robert Plant or Bon Scott
Guitar-Jimmy Page(the old jimmy, not the new fat ***, i am talkin' page from physical graffiti and backwards from there), Angus Young(won't that be interesting), and David Gilmore Bassist-John Paul Jones(same as jimmy page) drums-(of course) John Bonham |
