You guys should check out the translation of '' Rein, Raus''... woooow man.. soooo f*cking hilarious:D:D:D

NnyTard 01-30-2005 05:46 AM

is that "in out"? that's from memory, one song is called that in english

craggyisland 01-30-2005 06:01 AM

Mutter is a good CD, and Adios is a great song off it. Not many people seem to mention it, but it's one of my favourites.

flea_otherside 01-30-2005 07:40 AM

Rammstein is one of my favourite bands, saw them live in november this year, and it kicked ***. The live show is the best I've ever seen.

Rammstein has a lot of songs that are about sex in some way

JACKROXYOU 01-30-2005 12:15 PM

yea like the third song on mutter is just crazy sex song

JACKROXYOU 01-30-2005 12:27 PM

what are your guys favorite song?

Kage 01-30-2005 12:39 PM
cool but do they go deep onto u.s.

kage you live in texas?
Yeah..

JACKROXYOU 01-30-2005 01:07 PM

have they ever come to texas?

JACKROXYOU 01-30-2005 01:48 PM

has any one seen them live?

Destillat 01-30-2005 02:34 PM

My dads friend used to manage the band that oli (bass player) was originaly in, pretty crazy.

JACKROXYOU 01-30-2005 03:10 PM

so have you've seen em live

Kage 01-30-2005 03:50 PM

They've obviously been to the US many times, what with Family Values '98, etc. Besides, they have a huge number of fans in the US, so I see no reason why they wouldn't, although I've never seen them live.

yea it is you hate but i didnt know the german part. its wierd

Kage 01-30-2005 03:58 PM
yea it is you hate but i didnt know the german part. its wierd
I explained this earlier you idiot. "Du Hast" means "You have"
"Du Hasst" means "You Hate." It's pronounced the same, but has two different meanings, and the root words are different, but when they are put into the second person present tense, they have the same form.

wish they would come back

all thier tour dates are in poland and ****

Styrofoam 01-30-2005 04:24 PM

kage if it translates into "you have" then how come in the english version of the song they say "you hate"

Kage 01-30-2005 04:32 PM

What do you mean, the "english version" ?

JACKROXYOU 01-30-2005 04:34 PM

in my mind there are no english versions

Styrofoam 01-30-2005 04:43 PM

there is english recordings of a few of their songs

Kage 01-30-2005 04:45 PM

By the band themselves? I was not aware of that. Even so, Du Hast means "You Have" in German and you simply cannot argue that. Maybe they changed it to You Hate in the english version to cash in on the blunder that most people make in thinking that that is what it means.

Jay S. Bach 01-30-2005 05:08 PM
i'd have to say that Herzeleid is my favourite album right now, then maybe Sehnsucht... or Mutter... then Reise, Reise.

although th cd of Herzeleid doesn't look too good with the really poor looking cover art, it has a lot of their best songs on it.
Now here's a true Rammstein fan.

Hands down, "Herzeleid" is their finest CD to date.

Jay S. Bach 01-30-2005 05:10 PM

I agree about the Herzeleid cover. Pretty gay-looking.

It looks like a poster for a gay festival party thing.

nowitzki 01-30-2005 05:51 PM

^haha so true

Styrofoam 01-31-2005 12:46 AM

hmmm maybe i was wrong... but the recording is way different then the translation.... lol

NnyTard 01-31-2005 01:01 AM

i know that the booklet translations in sehnsaucht (sp?) isn't the EXACT translations but what the words would be if sung in english (they made the translations in the bookley rhyme)

Destillat 01-31-2005 01:36 AM

its you have dip****s. they only said you hate in the english version cause the said it would make more sense to the english speaking people
and i yes i have seen them live they put on one hell of a show they dont talk much to the audience but im not so sure now since reise reise came out what a let down.

NnyTard 01-31-2005 01:57 AM
there is english recordings of a few of their songs
yeah, du hast and engel.

that's all though.

and yeah everyone already knows it means "you have" when you translate it. its based on the german wedding vowls or whatever.

and its just you hate so it works in english. i don't like the english one that much.

Destillat 01-31-2005 02:33 AM

^good job

Locks 01-31-2005 05:57 AM

I love Mein Herz brennt, its a brilliant piece of music. What makes it better is it accompanied a few Mercedes ads on telly. Wicked.

orangeacid 01-31-2005 01:45 PM
