Or hermaphrodite. I don't really know that much about you other than you listen to FATA and therefore your opinions cannot be valid.
I like how you bring up things from several months ago, just like an overbearing woman.

SubtleDagger 01-29-2005 11:27 PM

You still like FATA don't you?

A_Perfect_Sonnet 01-29-2005 11:36 PM

I lost the CD, so I haven't listened to them in forever.

d0ped0g 01-29-2005 11:38 PM

was FATA the band that did the song at the start of Final Fantasy X?

SubtleDagger 01-29-2005 11:46 PM

I'm going to take a wild guess and say hell no.

i am the robots 01-29-2005 11:47 PM
Wow, you are a fucking moron.
I wasn't aware that trying to stop an argumetn dumbed up threads... maybe you think I'm dumb because I was put on that gay *** elitest list in the pit.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 01-29-2005 11:57 PM

Eh, I'll just drop that remark, and others. Arguing on here is too pointless, especially when you have actual things to care about, rather than just bitching at eachother on a forum.

I hate it when people try to act above the forum. You're here, you're queer, get used to it.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 01-30-2005 12:01 AM

Actually, that was me apologizing for the unprovoked insults. But go ahead and act like you know everything, it's kind of stupid in an endearing sort of way.

SubtleDagger 01-30-2005 12:30 AM

What?

Quit arguing on the internet, right now.

i am the robots 01-30-2005 01:14 AM

That's what he just said, ha

d0ped0g 01-30-2005 04:27 AM
What?

it takes two baby!

he was obviously trying to express that he doesnt want to continue any petty feuds yet you throw it back in his face with a totally unjustified and immature insult. Sure he may have been argumentative when explaining to you what he was trying to do, but thats probably only because the absurdity of your comeback might have angered him (or possibly he realised that because the unargument format of his previous apology didnt get through, and repeating in the only other style might reach you).

before you get all hiffy. i'm not trying to start an argument. i'm just trying to keep the peace, by showing the situation in the light of a mere observer.

k.s.e. 01-30-2005 05:47 AM

stupid harddrive crashed.. i lost all my writings and i wrote something for this challenge.. now its lost.. blah

Disco Dragon 01-30-2005 11:19 AM
You're here, you're queer, get used to it.
Ok, that shit was pretty funny. But hilarity aside, you should stop provoking him into arguing. That's not cool.

However, if you start having withdrawals, and feel the need to be a douchebag again, you could always try starting another pointless argument with me........but I think we all know where that gets us.........

pixiesfanyo 01-30-2005 11:46 AM

I haven't been able to write since my withdrawal from heroin.

SubtleDagger 01-30-2005 01:49 PM

You guys seem to have trouble getting jokes.

El_Goodo 01-30-2005 05:10 PM

Is this thread not supposed to be about the lyrical challenge? BTW when will the voting take place? *This is the first Lyric contest i've entered here*

d0ped0g 01-30-2005 06:18 PM
You guys seem to have trouble getting jokes.
a joke at the expense of another person in the state of argument isnt a joke, its an insult.

CSD & the Soul Machines 01-30-2005 08:13 PM

^ Or at least intended to be funny.

d0ped0g 01-30-2005 08:46 PM

yeah. but it obviously wont be to the person who its directed at.

eg. if i said "You're here, you're queer, get used to it." to somebody who hates me. I wouldnt be surprised if he bashed my head in.

Regardless of wether its funny for us or not, saying "its just a joke" isnt an acceptable justification for provoking argument on an internet forum... especially for a moderater. Sure alot of what you are saying might not carry the intention of an insult, but as it is for any internet forum "think before you post".
Is this thread not supposed to be about the lyrical challenge? BTW when will the voting take place? *This is the first Lyric contest i've entered here*
The voting thread opens up a week after the submission thread is posted, but lately it's been staying open longer than that. This thread is just sort of like a challenge community thread.

Disco Dragon 01-30-2005 11:02 PM
You guys seem to have trouble getting jokes.
No, no. No, no. See, that's why I said "That shit was pretty funny." That alone should tell you that I got the joke. And if it didn't.....you are a moron.

Disco Dragon 01-30-2005 11:09 PM

Oh, and congratulations to everyone who has entered thus far on not making any overtly depressing songs. :)

d0ped0g 01-31-2005 01:25 AM

i was just thinking of a line for a song before that went something like this disco dragon
"weary wrists weep a stream of scarlet sorrows"
:D

ATC 01-31-2005 02:20 AM

if i had a word that rhymed with 'razorblades gleam in the cold light of the sanguine'.........

that is an actual poem someone posted in a magazine contest near here

super deluxe 01-31-2005 03:17 AM

My song goes:

scarlet tears stream down my face
all alone in my disgrace
the darkness hides my sobs of shame
CUT CUT CUT CUT CUT AGAIN!!!!

SubtleDagger 01-31-2005 09:58 AM
No, no. No, no. See, that's why I said "That shit was pretty funny." That alone should tell you that I got the joke. And if it didn't.....you are a moron.
Haha, not you.

By the way, there is nothing more fun than provoking APS into an argument. Nothing.

SubtleDagger 01-31-2005 02:54 PM

lol

btw I covered Beltsville Crucible and YOU'VE GOT TO PLAY IT AGAIN

SubtleDagger 01-31-2005 03:40 PM
When I first saw that post I was like "PLEASE do not sing, it'd ruin the song," but listening to it now I'm remember how stripped down the two guitar parts are. This song definitely the closer type song. I'm not to the end yet but I'm expecting good things considering how sick the harmony is between the two guitars. Whoa you're playing it incorrectly. :( It sounds like balls.
I had to improv the end because there's not a correct tab anywhere on the friggin' net.

SubtleDagger 01-31-2005 05:15 PM
I am a correct tab. The ones on mxtabs.net or punkhardcore.com are actually pretty decent but you can just change the errors. One main problem about yours in that your initial quieter guitar drops on the second chord when it should change by rising. When the guitars harmonize later it makes a glaring, painful dissonance, especially for a huge Thrice fan like me.
At the very end they do that because I hit a wrong note for a second. Right before the big open hit. Other than that, it's not that dissonant, just wrong.

super deluxe 01-31-2005 06:39 PM

Everyone go listen to my band's new song and our new drummer! The lyrics...well, I didn't write 'em. I'm just the bass player. But still.

pixiesfanyo 01-31-2005 06:52 PM

more like twelveforsuck.

SubtleDagger 01-31-2005 06:53 PM

More like super desux!

I listened, it was OK, singer isn't too great. I also despise it when people put the clean guitar on one stereo setting and the distorted in a completely different area.

El_Goodo 01-31-2005 08:47 PM

Alright thanks

CSD & the Soul Machines 02-01-2005 12:08 AM

Your welcome.

RunAmokRampant 02-01-2005 12:33 AM

Did you know HighVoltageRockNRoll, you use the same scarlet line as Broken saint. 'scarlet fire in her eyes'. Just thought I'd let u know. :)

Dude. The whole thing was a joke. Internet. Serious business.

pixiesfanyo 02-01-2005 03:55 PM

Are you real?

A_Perfect_Sonnet 02-01-2005 04:40 PM
I'm a fucking idiot. Please make fun of my horrible grammar and lack of coherent thought.
