im new, and i have a question, how do u read the patterns, i understand everything but the patterns, the "X"s, i dont get what they mean or anything, if u could help that'd be great

No one seems to have answered you. Those scales arent meant to be played in any particular frett or note at all. They are patterns to be used anywhere on the neck. No matter where you play them, all the notes will be in the key of the root note. Thats why its important that when you learn those patterns you MUST remember where the root note will be. That way you can use them to their full potential, and if someone tells you to play something in the key of a note, you can use those patterns to know where the right notes will be for that key.

Adobe is a program which will open the cheat sheet. You don't need anything to open Adobe with.
