BlacklightGuitarist and Power Ranger are the best in my opinion, although that Killfile kid has innocent newbie charm if nothing else.

I can't really judge. I'm extremely picky about what I read. And some people give me a pleasant surprise from song to song. The problem is that there's been a recent glut of very darkly emotional songs dumped on here, and it most of them tend to get pretty heavy. With my life as hectic as it is at the moment, that's the last thing I need to be reading. It's nothing personal. I'm just crazy.

Also, different people have a lot of different voices as writers. Myself and a couple others for example tend to narrate stories through our lyrics. That makes a difference for some people.

I'm not really sure where I was going with this. I kind of lost my train of thought somewhere in the second paragraph.

id like to become one of the best writters on here, but hardly anyone critiques my stuff. the ones that do give great advice and i know its making me better. so to all you out there who look at mine and then pass it by without a comment, christ in a mother effing kyak. you took the time to read it, take the time to comment. if my song bores you after the first line then friggin say so, and tell me what you think i could do to make it better. i dont care if you say you suck stop writting about stupid things, just give me an idea of what to write about. i need all the help i can get, so please give it.

I can't pick a favorite, I seem to lose track of who's writing what these days. From those who post regularly, I really like Baodegoth and Power Ranger's styles, but there are many others. I know there's more than two ... there's alot of talent on these boards.

Joshmay is probably the best around here at expanding styles and doing things differently.

Pixiesfanyo annoys me because I wasn't that good when I was his age.

Subtle's stuff is pretty good.

D! was simply amazing when I was around last year, as was someone else...

Jurial, from what I've read, is the only competition for D! that I've seen.

If I really had to pick my personal favorites, I'd go with Pirate Satellite, Disco Dragon, BenBaker, Nichelle, Subtle...not to say that there aren't better writers, I just like these guys style, it tickles my fancy.

Im probably forgettinga bunch, Gaslight is good too, he came a little later. Rollerqueen had some cool down to earth stuff in my memory. But its all about letiing your emotions out, if you can do that, you are truly the best.

There have been many great songs on here, some writers only post one then leave, and soon forgotten. But, for the ones that are fresh im my memory, I'd have to say Sade, SubtleDaggerer, Mighty Morphin, Pirate Satellite. Oh, I wish I could remember what everyone else has written, because I can't put down a name if I haven't read the pieces in depth. But everyone on here is at least trying. And seeking improvement. Thats the best thing a writer can do.

i think every one on this site has talent, but if i had to pick one person, i guess i like feedthegods666, don't hate me :(

Wow, two people like me. Well, one of them "possibly" but I take what I can get. I just wish I knew where my muse went. I've hit a dry spell and all I can do is wait it out.

hey ive been reading the forums for a long time now and the best songwriter in my opinion is mshort813. the kid doesnt post a lot of threads but the songs he writes are amazing. "car crashes and 25th hour apologies" was truly the greatest song ive ever read on these forums, and maybe off the forums. other really great writers are nichelle, benbaker, subtledagger, and maggot. and a_perfect_sonnet is a really great writer. great writing everyone.
