I think Give Up is a great album. Another one of my favorite albums from this year. Some of the songs have a beat that sounds like it's from Super Nintendo and provides loads of nostalgia. :p Overall I think it's a great album. Gibbard's song writing abilites are great here too, and Jimmy Tamborello's electronic beats add a definitive sound to the album. |

Oh yes indeed, "Brand New Colony" made me want to bust out the NES (well, emulator) and play Lolo or something as well. I sincerely hope that it wasn't a one-shot deal. Death Cab for Cutie + electronica? And it works? They can't leave it at one album. Albeit, their "cease and desist" order from the government will ruin it a little bit, but they should still make more material.
