I find it funny how you get mad and defend Alter Bridge in their review. And then you come here and make fun of this band. F[I]u[/I]cking hypocrite.

First off, Brand New is the most talented band or the most lyrically smart but they are a lot better than most of the nu-metal/modern rock bands out now so I respect most of their fans.

Yeah, because to like one band and dislike another is hypocrytical. I am not making fun of this band. I really don't mind them that much. I'd rather listen to them than just about any other pop-punk EMO band, but I was only wondering why it is that a band like this--clearly less talented than a band like Alter Bridge, no matter you like them or not--gets such positive reviews, and Alter Bridge doesn't? I guess I can't complain too much. Most of the people on my review now agree with me...

Anyway, I didn't mean to dis Brand New or anything. If you find their lyrics emotionally moving, more power to you. I'm just a little confused, that's all. But seriously, I've got nothing against Brand New. They ARE a punk band, so they don't really need to be good at their instruments.

I never once got mad because someone bashed my review. I never once got MAD, for that matter. Maybe it seemed like I did (no inflectiopn of voice, hand gestures, etc. online), but I wasn't. I argued my case for why I though Alter Bridge had made the best album I had ever heard, but I wasn't MAD.

And also, I did not come in here bashing the review. I came in here bashing the board. If he thinks this album is great, that is his opinion, I won't argue. But the BOARD IN GENERAL seems to be playing hypocrite here. His review was actually very good. I didn't agree with it, but it was good.

First it was all about me bashing BN, then it was about me bashing the review, then it was me bashing the rating, and now it is me bashing the band again. Make up your mind, already.

well anyways...

i bought this cd the day it came out, and im still constantly listening to it. i'll admit the quiet-loud transitions get repetitive, but for the first few songs with the quiet-loud formula, it works really well. im alos a big fan of jesse lacey's lyrics.

4.25/5, just because of repetitiveness
