Yes, it's a lot more "ambient" than a lot of the artists discussed here, but he is pretty awesome.

A Mutual Antipathy is such a good album, if you don't have it already Wish you should get it, or I can send it to you.

I've been listening to Martyn's new album (Great Lengths) which is quite good and Clubroot which is incredible.

Txus 10-07-2009 11:00 AM

One Foot Ahead of the Other? that's the Zomby one you're tlaking about? that one is great, I didn't like Where were u in 92 LP much, its good, but not as good as his other work.

Never heard Kryptic Minds.

Oh and check your last.fm inbox :)

Txus 10-07-2009 11:08 AM

Wow, that was really good. Very dark.

:D Will definitely look further into his stuff.

Boxcutter is the king of the minimal/ambient dubstep.
Boxcutter is the king of the minimal/ambient dubstep.
Boxcutter is the shiz.

Been listening to alot of Vex'd lately, Degenerate is really growing on me.

Txus 10-07-2009 02:28 PM

Vex'd rules, my favorite song of his is probably Bombardment of Saturn (****ing awesome name too) but yeah, Degenerate is a great album.

And I'm glad you enjoyed the album that much, Wish. It's quite a great one, very original. I would buy the album just for the artwork, I need to get my paycheck first.

Iai 10-07-2009 02:29 PM

Degenerate is awesome.

totally hilarious.. the dub is DEEP and the vocals are just great ahah. good remake of a classic cheese song, its fun to drop into sets to see peoples reactions.

this thread seems to be maintaining an unusually high standard of intelligence.. awesome

Arucard 10-10-2009 11:24 PM

aha this remix is going to be absolutely massive

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBFib9TWa2o

amazing.

Arucard 10-11-2009 02:16 PM

I don't dare to post on the dubstep forums for fear of being shot down in flames.

Arucard 10-11-2009 02:17 PM

the knowledge level on those forums seems to be inhumanly high, they also seem like quite a tight knit group.

but i might give it a bash.

wang masta flex 10-11-2009 04:49 PM

UltraGore is a pretty sick dubstep label based out of Tel Aviv, good heavy ****

http://www.myspace.com/ultragoremusic

this dude Borgore .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsaLpVDW6oI .... follow his instructions

Arucard 10-11-2009 08:38 PM

yeah the ultragore stuff is generally ill

anyone want to talk dnb in here as well? would save another thread.

also we got any Bar 9 fans in the house?

Arucard 10-12-2009 09:37 AM

Yeah Bar 9 are amazing, love their remix of the new Nic Correli track, its massive.

Aha alright, i'll sign up. It does look like it can be fun too.

wang masta flex 10-12-2009 10:26 AM

anyone dig Noisia?

wang masta flex 10-12-2009 02:26 PM

Noisia's different, man

Ghostfire3 10-13-2009 01:58 PM

If you're really looking for some womp ---> Bassnectar

Arucard 10-14-2009 07:32 AM

Noisia is the opposite of different, their tracks are so ridiculously generic it hurts. I really don't buy into generic dnb, i basically only listen to liquid stuff, so London Elektricity, High Contrast, older Chase And Status, Danny Bayrd etc.

The whole 'jungle' vibe has thankfully been put to rest.

magicbus 10-14-2009 05:18 PM

You guys into 16 Bit?

Txus 10-14-2009 05:45 PM

I've been listening to Milanese lately, dude is so good!

2muchket! 10-14-2009 05:55 PM

Chilled to Kryptic Minds new album earlier.

Love that style of Dubstep

Txus 10-14-2009 07:05 PM

Yeah, I really liked his new album

Adash 10-16-2009 12:48 PM

16 bit is good but generally dubstep is a bit last year, which is why me n a friend are making some avant doomstep

Txus 10-17-2009 02:07 AM

I'm completely stoned listening to the new kryptic minds album and holy **** secure lost is INTENSE

Txus 10-17-2009 10:55 AM

Yeah, one can't complain to that. Great album.
little late for the bandwagon there
umm, not in the us. that sh*t is huge in europe but it's still getting popular here

TimJim 10-19-2009 09:53 PM

hey guys could you rec me some good dubstep that isnt very ambient and leans more towards hip hop.

im not sure how else to explain it other than in the general style of this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBugKse-BEg

sorry for not being clear!

obZenz 10-20-2009 05:12 AM

Do you guys listen to Level 67? I recently got an album, and it's absolutely incredible. I've been listening to it real late at night though, driving around, it's pretty deep. Dubstep is kind've a new thing for me as well, I'm getting a Kryptic Minds album right now - really pumped to hear the sounds.

Anybody recommend a decent site to get some stuff off of? Rapidshare seems to have a lot of the stuff, just hard to come across on your common sites like isohunt, etc. =)
