No real substance? Explain please.

MindlessPickle 04-02-2006 10:34 AM

Only heard picaresque... didn't like it. Quite useless post, really.

neighborhood fascist 04-02-2006 10:37 AM

Quite useless life, really.

Before anyone gets upset, know that I was joking.
Yeah, I saw him too. El Rey. It was a pretty fun show. We got to name the sheep "Eric with a C with a K."
We named his bottle of wine too, although I can't remember what it was.

I love The Decemberists.

Sixteen Military Wives > American Idiot

Sam 04-02-2006 08:32 PM

I'm actually gonna go ahead and disagree with you there.

And America does if America says it's so, it's so!

DaveToopes 04-02-2006 09:28 PM

One of my favorite bands.

MAthiAS 04-02-2006 10:18 PM

They're okay, they seem like a band that's likely to grow on me though.

simplephotographinthesun 04-03-2006 09:31 PM

I saw them live last year, they were quite stellar. can't go wrong with "Los Angeles, I'm Yours"

PECOAE 04-03-2006 10:16 PM

Favourite song?

The Infanta.

dustinmm80 04-04-2006 02:07 PM

I really dig this band. Their polka-esque rhythm is really refreshing.

Favorite song: The Mariner's Revenge.

PECOAE 04-04-2006 06:09 PM

I love Colin Melloy's voice. Especially on Infanta and July!July!

Milton Babbit 04-08-2006 12:11 AM

the decemberists are one of the most unique and interesting bands in modern indie rock. There's a nice Meloy solo show on the NPR website somewhere.

plasticjewelry 05-01-2006 11:28 AM

fantastic live band. ive seen them twice. a tad disappointed that the show was so similar to the last but great just the same. they played peter and the wolf during intermission as well. how ****ing awesome.

LivingDeadBoy 05-01-2006 11:44 AM
i wish i liked them, but i could write a decemberists song in 2 minutes i reckon.
Do it.

Dare you, Dare you. Double dare you!

California One/Youth and Beauty Brigade is just so incredible, especially since he throws in a random cover tease during the segue.

snailboy 05-01-2006 03:27 PM

Mexican Bandito 05-01-2006 03:38 PM
