metallica is a true legend, even though im not familiar with there history
^ no matter how much i slander metallica, i have to agree. They are great.
i wonder what was going through there minds when they were creating songs on the st. anger album, how many people here like st. anger album or just like one or two songs on it?
i have heard most of them, but none of them stick out :upset: |
^ Yup none stick out for me either. I mean i like the fact that they are trying something new, but...this is disgraceful...i've grown to accept alot higher from metallica...and this...this is shite...wow...what were they thinking...? Its no where near the same metallica quality i've come to love over the years
who is everyones favorite band member on metallica, me obviously would be lars, his old stuff, not on st. anger because everything sounds the same
what about all of you |
Personally i like james. Nothing else matters solo, has to be in my top ten fav. solos.
is anyone else going to post here except the 4-5 people that are
EDIT: man i hit page two, now three |
They will eventually. There is so much Metallica traffic around there parts.

they dont have to be currently in the band, it can be when they first started or whatever, just your favorites that were once in the band or still is
^ yay. My favorites (being a bassman) would have to be Jason and Cliff.
I'm not the biggest fan of Metallica, but Hetfield is my favourite member, like his vioce.
^^yea hes got a preety good voice
was metallica ever not together, did they ever split for a period of time? |
^ I believe that people assumed that they split up before st. anger. I mean, people were thinking that it was the end....until we heard they were working on st. anger...
I think they did basically split while Hetfield was in re-hab.
But they didn't.
^ well it was believed that they did though. but yes. they didn't. lol.
No they didn't
*Doesn't know that much about Metallica* :upset: |
I know too much.
Well lets give this thread a kick in the ass:
What is your most favorite metallica solo? I like the ride the lightning solo, because honeslty imo its the hardest one, and i just like it. I also love the unforgiven two solo. it is alot better than the unforg. 1 solo imo... |
I think they should make a surprise epic thrash album like Master of Puppets before they call it a career. It would blow away the haters and criticizers.
I think st. anger was made production-wise, horribly. But some songs are ok, like frantic, st. anger, and shoot me again. The songs are just too long and recorded horribly. If it was recorded better and they cut the songs a little short of possibly made them progressive, a lot of people might dig the album. I really enjoy st. anger live, their tone is loud and killer. |
^ when they performed st. anger live i was suprised. it actually sonuds really good! lol. but i still hate the album.
St Anger is an ugly peice of work to listen to. Thats the only way to describe it. It really is a big "Fuck you" to all the over produce Nu Metal bands around right now. I believe this was there aim with the album.
^ oh ok i get it. I think metallica is trying to say, if "any ones gonna play nu metal, we'll be the ones and we'll perfect it." Basicaly a big f u to nu metal bands today..
I ADORE Metallica and this thread is a great idea :thumb:,
The early stuff - kill em all, ride' etc were all amazing ground breaking concepts, and I will admit i like the black album, some of load/reload and i DO LIKE St Anger. Yeah it was nt their best but its still got some good songs on it and even if it is nu metal its the best nu metal album out there IMO. Theyre all talented people and i think they get too much stick for a few bad albums. Come on they gave us great songs such at One, MoP, Fade to Black, Four Horsemen, Damage inc, jsut about any song on the 1st for albums. Conclusion - Metallica were and always will be a great band. |
^ Always? lol.
"Tick tock tick tock" Need i repeat myself? lol j/k welcome to the thread ;) |
