I wasn't playing the "who has the most classes and brags about it over the internet game". But I guess you win.
No, actually I lose. Cuz that means I have much less free time, which makes me a big loser. I would highly advise no one with any sanity to take that many credit hours. I thought it would be a piece of cake, turns out I was way wrong.

Oh, and has anyone heard anything from a band called The Spill Canvas? I've only heard one song and I'm not sure if I should bother picking up their CD or not. Any thoughts?

I was just making a joke on that last comment.

As for The Spill Canvas, the new cd is okay, same with All Hail The Heartbreaker. The Tide, if it's the song you heard, is the standout of all their generic songwriting. If you want the new cd, IM me and I'll send it to you.

This was the forum that made me join emex, I didn't discover the Pit until about 6 months after i'd been here.

Okay here's a question I heard some comedian asked during a show. I can't remember his name but his dead now.

"My belt holds up my pants, but the loopholes on my pants hold up my belt, so who is the real hero?"

Answerable?

Solar 11-16-2005 07:37 PM

You can tie a belt tight enough so you don't need loopholes, therefore the belt is the winner.

Littlejohn 11-16-2005 07:43 PM

You can buy tight enough pants so that a belt is not required. It is obviously a trick question. Friction is the hero.

Oh man I remember seeing that guy on TV. He was so stoned at the time though.

Littlejohn 11-16-2005 08:56 PM

Mitch Hedburg perhaps? Sounds like his doing...
Oh man I remember seeing that guy on TV. He was so stoned at the time though.
Yeah and it doesn't take a genius to figure out how he most probably died

A_Perfect_Sonnet 11-16-2005 09:14 PM

Well when he died, it WAS from a drug overdose, it was in the reports.

Dancin' Man 11-16-2005 10:03 PM

Mitch Hedburg was so funn.y half an hour of one liners. It's amazing.

TojesDolan 11-16-2005 10:15 PM

I usually base my humor in real life with one liners. When I go to far in the joke, I mess up and everyone stare at me... awfully.

And the answer is 4. Or maybe that Jesus has something to do with that.

Which reminds me I just watched "The exorcism of Emily Rose"...

ugh. It's "exorcist", but less exciting and less "fuck me! fuck me!".

Disco Dragon 11-16-2005 10:28 PM

Are you serious? "Emily Rose" was better than the original "Exorcist." The Exorcist isn't remotely frightening, actually it's just plain laughable. Maybe had I seen it when it first came out I would have a different opinion. Although I did get a kick out of her masterbating with a crucifix. That sh|t was funny.

Solar 11-16-2005 10:35 PM

I saw the previews for that in cinemas and said "meh"

Disco Dragon 11-18-2005 11:39 AM

Megaman rocks.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 11-18-2005 11:42 AM

But the Flying-V doesn't.

Disco Dragon 11-18-2005 01:24 PM

This is true. Not even Kirk Hammett looks cool while playing a Flying-V guitar. Personally, I think Megaman should lose the guitar and pick up the kazoo. It's much more fitting...

xKONRADx 11-18-2005 03:34 PM

I just added mary kate olsen as a friend on facebook. She has yet to confirm.

does anyone else suffer the unjust beast known as facebook?

Recoil to relate

Hey I am new at this and thought I would try write something for the "recoil" challenge.

Recoil to relate

My words and mere lines drawn with purpose.
These sentences set to stimulate the thoughts.
I don’t know what they mean to you, or how you understand.
To understand is to have lived,
To live is to die, the minute we are born to this world,
Is the minute we start to die.

To know that death comes to us all ,
To know that we will be no more,
Is to set up for a fall.
That scares me to my core.
But from this I recoil - I spring back
I will never let the knowledge of defeat end me.
If I did my life would mean jack.
I am not a memory yet, its destiny.

I recoil to relate,
This is a twisted fate.
I never chose to live, I choose not to die.
To say I am not afraid is a lie.
I will never admit my fear,
The fact I am here,
Is reason enough to let me believe there’s more.

I recoil back to my own world,
I will return to the modern day.
I will no longer hide,
face first I collide,
With the never changing,
never missing,
never broken,
words more honest never spoken.
The End.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 11-18-2005 07:56 PM

That needs to be in the entries thread.

Its got the mp3 of the song as well.

I got back from the studio. Its awesome. I'm working with five different vocalists on five different projects. Everything from trip-hop to folk rock. I'm all psyched.

RunAmokRampant 11-20-2005 05:09 AM

lucky you. My music is yet to be heard by anyone. Can't even record anything myself coz I can't afford it :(

I like what I heard anyway.

ATC 11-20-2005 02:28 PM

You're telling me. I seem to have run up a telephone bill of 250 dollars and I'll need a fair bit of money to be able to go for a weekend in the woods and other things with my girl. Me only has about 600-700 in the bank. I should start robbing banks.

RunAmokRampant 11-20-2005 03:51 PM

Yeah but don't do anything stupid like those Australians dickheads who robbed that bank in the US and took photos of themselves with the stolen cash. And it is wise to invest in a balaclavar.

ITRIEDVOODOOONCE 11-20-2005 08:54 PM

GOOD NEWS!
the show has been postponed(sp?) to the 17th, thank god

Solar 11-21-2005 01:35 AM

looks like you win the prize.
