I love Hurtmold (brazilian post-rock band). It sounds like Tortoise and there are some vocals in portuguese.

Dirty Three man, Dirty Three.
Also, try Jakob. They're not "post-rock" perse, but they don't have vocals and they're predominately guitar-based and pretty epic. |
Amplifier are another great post-rock-but-not-quite-post-rock group. Well, they have their moments.
You need more EitS. |
Did you listen to Run Return yet?
They're on my MySpace friends list. |

Ah jeez, forgot about them. Definitely seconded. |
Yeah I have a couple of their songs. "Hope" is freaking brilliant. I'll get some more of them for sure.
Iai, there's no more EITS for me to get :p |
Ah jeez, forgot about them. Definitely seconded.
i havn't heard their new one yet, but i hear it's kinda bland. Eh well... |
I've seen that on ebay but the only copy available is £10 ($18) (Buy-it-now including posting and packaging). Is it worth getting it if I haven't heard any of the songs, because my internet is crap at the moment and it would take me ages just to download a song (if I could find one). I love the stuff you mentioned so I was wondering if it was worth spending that much money.
Hmm.... it is a good, nice solid CD, but I dunno if it would be worth $18, especially if you havent heard any songs. If you like the aformentioned bands, I am pretty certain that you will enjoy them. This is coming from a stingy, jobless bum who gets most of her music via soulseek through a dialup connection, though. |
