Their scene is also in Finland. I still have yet to hear this band.

I mean like people who are big on crusty hardcore/punk.

Awesome band, they put on such an amazing live show. Although I agree with Reiner on this one, they aren't all that well known in the Us, maybe amongst the crust crowd, but not the hardcore people. Still an amazing band, it's a shame more people don't listen to 'em.

Oh, and Pat, there were way more than 20 people at the show in ATX. Mostly due to the fact that it was Pok-E-Joe's which was a brand new venue at the time for ATX (the Riistetyt show was the first one they ever had there), so it figures people wouldn't know how to get there all that easily. Either way, it was an awesome show and I met up with some dudes that I hadn't seen in a while.

I say more people should start listening to Scandinavian hardcore/punk.

I love Riistetyt. Has anyone heard their cover of Varukers - Protest and Survive.

40 oz 2 freedom 10-20-2005 09:53 PM

Chris Lea told me there was hardly any people there.

NewKindofArmy03 10-20-2005 09:55 PM

Also, they've been around for a longggggggggggggggggggg time

StruckEverywhere 10-20-2005 09:56 PM
Then they come in here and try and act all elitist. (Excursions).
As compared to the usual crust show in ATX, yea, hardly any people showed up, but for being under those circumstances (new venue, and whatnot) it's reasonable that there weren't many, although still more than 20, people.

Oh, and they've been around since about 1980. Just under a different name for like 2 years, then they switched it to Riistetyt.

40 oz 2 freedom 10-20-2005 09:58 PM

Mah bad.

I'm actually listening to that right now. :thumb:

Subvert_bassist 10-20-2005 11:09 PM

I love how they translated all the lyrics from English. Gives it their own twist. Cool fuckin' cover.

Scabies 10-21-2005 10:57 AM

Riisteyt are awesome, this would be more welcome in the punk forum since most of these fags don't seem to be down with the crusty shiznit.

40 oz 2 freedom 10-21-2005 05:29 PM

You're wrong about that.
