HOLY SH|T!!

How do you get them to sound so... professional.

wickedstylez 08-13-2005 04:55 AM

well here's BOP. i added a bit of distortion..

I'd also be very interested in doing some tool covers if you can do the drums DWJK. I obviously can't reproduce chancellor's tone but it'll sound good nonetheless.

VVildo 08-13-2005 05:02 PM

Nice job wickedstylez. I really like the distortion.

I second the request for Born of Broken Man. Actually, any RATM or Audioslave for that matter. Maybe Hush for a Tool song?

(Eagerly awaits DWJK's next upload)

squid 08-13-2005 05:30 PM

Not bad! Hell, anything Tool.. better yet, if you do any Metallica, i'm so there.

studmuffin 08-13-2005 05:31 PM

wow. good job you guys.
i'd be up for the tool covers. i have yet to play with a drummer who can get the timing down on Schism. let me know if your serious. :thumb:

Linkinbassist 08-13-2005 06:09 PM

this is some good stuff...if only i knew where my adapter was...

I have yet to play with a drummer who can play any tool song perfectly or near-perfect all the way through

DWJK 08-14-2005 04:14 AM

AWESOME job Wicked. I'm considering a few bands for the next one: Tool, 311, Audioslave, RHCP, or Metallicas 'Enter Sandman'. I'm working on Schism.

thanks man. any of those would be good except audioslave (not a big audioslave fan, which is weird because i LOVE RATM. guess i just don't like chris cornell:) ) another good tool song to do would be Crawl Away. awesome song and fairly simple. or you could do stinkfist, my all time fav tool song :thumb: anyway, i look forward to adding bass to whatever song ya wanna do. :)

DWJK 08-14-2005 04:33 AM

Listened to Schism for the first time seriously (I've always heard the riff and other parts @ friends houses, just never all the way through.). I have no problem with verse, the chorus is bitchy as hell though :-/ I'll work on it as soon as it's early enough to play, heh

wickedstylez 08-14-2005 04:37 AM

schism is awesome. i wish i could reproduce the tone but ah well.

tomtom 08-14-2005 05:19 AM

well done wickedstylez, awesome work, are the other tracks your's as well?

wickedstylez 08-14-2005 05:23 AM

Oh boy. Time to relearn all the parts after the interlude of that song. In the meantime I learned Nice To Know You. I'll try recording that sometime tomorrow as I'm going to be out of the house all day today. Thanks for this. I was in the middle of a bass slump, but now I have something to strive for.

Glad I could help!

Schism's going to take a bit of non-stop listening to learn. In the meantime I recorded Incubus - Circles

http://www.dwjk.net/Circles(JM).mp3

You should give the song a shot even if you don't like Incubus, @ 1:06 is one of my favorite musical moments... ever.

DWJK 08-15-2005 06:23 AM

(Bump) No takers?

squid 08-15-2005 01:56 PM

That's badass, Wicked, and yeah, you HAVE to do Stinkfist :D

VVildo 08-15-2005 02:56 PM

Here's my Nice to Know You. I couldn't get the timing down for the intro to save my life, plus there's some other mistakes scattered throughout :) Still fun though.

I'm going to learn Circles now. I'll see if I can get it down enough to record it before I go out tonight.

Like I said, keep them coming! I'll learn any song you record as long as I can find a tab for it.

I'll give circles a shot in a bit.

VVildo 08-16-2005 02:59 PM

Here's Circles. Actually a pretty cool song.

Reviving this thread. This time up it's 'Bombtrack' by Rage.

As far as my drumming goes, I coulda played it a little tighter, but there were parts during the solo I really liked so I didnt retake anything. The snare wasn't loud enough in the mix, but what can you do

Post something. I love hearing this **** guys!
