I'm going to go with California by Mr. Bungle. But there are so many good albums out there that is really is impossible to just pick one and be sure about it.

Little Man being Erased 07-11-2005 05:04 PM

Probably Kid A, I guess.

Weezer-Green Album

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Television - Marquee Moon

I can't decide :(

Siamese Dream just has the greatest guitar sound ever, Marquee Moon is just an all around fun album that always cheers me up.

Jacaranda 07-11-2005 05:19 PM

Jane's Addiction, Ritual or Notings Shocking.

Zwan-Mary star of the Sea

i know i know, just about everyone hates it, but not me.......i tlove listening to that album, i love how the lyrics are so happy and well written. i love the guitars, the drumming is incredible. i can listen to this album when im happy, sad, angry, lonely, and it always makes me feel better. everyone complains that its not the pumpkins......so what?! i wouldnt want it to be. i wish zwan was still around.

Songs for the Deaf

It's funny. Speaking for myself only, I find it impossible to name a favourite band (now) and like top 5/10 albums etc... but I know my one favourite record and it hasn't changed for like 3 years.

Glitterati 07-11-2005 06:15 PM

This is tougher than three-week old taffee.

I guess you really DID put a gun to my head, I'd say The Clash - London Calling.

JonM 07-11-2005 06:53 PM

See, I always think I know, and then later on I always decide I'm wrong. I guess the only way to do this is to name the record about which I've said "This is my favorite album. Ever." the most times. And that would be Kid A by Radiohead.

redtard2 07-11-2005 06:56 PM

JEFF BUCKLEY-Grace

NineBitFable 07-11-2005 07:24 PM

Smashing Pumpkins- Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

I always seem to find another song that I think is amazing on it just when I think I've seen all it has to offer.

TheSeeker625 07-11-2005 07:43 PM

Foo Fighters- The Color and the Shape
Easy choice for me.

CrookedFingers 07-11-2005 09:20 PM

Audioslave - Out of Exile

White Album

MCMLXXXV82 07-11-2005 09:41 PM

Perhaps I suppose - by Rufio
and
What it is to Burn - by Finch

GibsonGuitarGuy 07-11-2005 09:49 PM

Hail to the Thief. It's the only album that I haven't gotten the least bit tired of, no matter how many times I listen to it, plus you can listen to it at any time, day, night, summer, winter, loud, or quiet, and it still sounds incredible. Kid A suffers from not being as universal.

Tenacious Z 07-11-2005 09:54 PM

Tenacious D is the album that got me really paying attention to music. To this day, I still can't keep it out of my stereo for more than a month.

This is really hard to choose
but if there's one album that i can listen the WHOLE way through and never think that the songs could be better than they are

it's definately Jeff Buckley's- Grace

yeah, I have alot of others. this album is the one I think is a real masterpiece though

FreaksRefuge_numero2 07-12-2005 05:50 AM

**** this is hard.

Most probably Lateralus by Tool

But Pink Moon and The Velvet Underground & Nico get honourable mentions.

Oskanot 07-12-2005 07:22 AM

Boredoms - Super AE

Scarily easy.

Black Foliage: Music for an Unrealized Film Script was my next choice after Beulah.

Iai 07-12-2005 12:30 PM

Grace is owning this thread.

Mine is Radiohead - OK Computer. Has been since I first heard it.

Nothing really to do with the topic, but I thought I'd ask, since I've been wondering; how do Circulatory System hold up to the Olivia Tremor Control?

Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People
how i listen and connect with music, and my expectations of musicians were changed by this album. its just phenomenal once you experience all the different layers and textures of each song
