UP THE PUNX!!!111 |
yeah way to metal
UP THE PUNX!!!111
Thrash actually comes from a mixture of punk and metal, so uping the punX isn't very anti-thrash. |
The Necros are kind of a thrash band. My favorites are Slayer and SOD but I haven't listened to too much thrash.
Great band to mention, I have Conquest For Death. One of me favourite bands. |
i didnt know destruction were "thrash"
|
i hate metal
dri is ok though |
not to big on thrash, but i do enjoy my pre-90's metallica and Slayer every once in a while :thumb:
|
Very nice list J. Thank you.
|
i didnt know destruction were "thrash"
have ye ever heard em? well i guess it's more the fact that ye dont know what thrash is, thus ye just considered it all metal, right?
i hate metal dri is ok though
:amaze:
Very nice list J. Thank you.
:thumb: |

I like Dark Overlords of the Universe.
|
Cool. Brainz Out is my favourite, which is why they're first, and why I typed up the lyrics.

It's more like thrash-influenced hardcore, which is still good, but like I said, not thrash. Though I did really enjoy that song, Shut the Fuck UP. As for the Dark Overlords of the Universe, really good band, I really liked the songs they had, though I say it again, not thrash. They have a more power metal sound, or "epic metal" in their words (it says it on one of their pictures), but again, not bad, but not thrash. Now, Dr. West, that was thrash, haha. I wasn't sure if any of the bands ye were bringing up were actually gonna be thrash, but these guys bring it old school crossover style. I really liked em. If ye could get me one of their demo tapes or if ye manage to get it online, I'd much appreciate ye sending it to me. :thumb: Although not all of the bands were thrash, they all get the Atomic Stamp of Approval, ye may die happy now. |
haha, I knew brainz out and dark overlords weren't really thrash, but kind of... a little bit. :( I still like them a lot.
I'm seeing Dr. West next week when they open for Crime In Stereo. I'll YSI the demo if I buy it. |
yeah its just metal tome
i have thrash on my you know what. :upset: it feels like the souls of christian babies are bleeding acid all over my gonads. and stuff.
and stuff. haha, y'all need to wash up more often...*wonders when he last showered* :amaze:  Anyways...enough diddledallying...heh...heh...I'm surprised I fergot to bring up Mayday, though mentioned in an earlier post, not elaborated on. Well, Mayday are a political thrash/grind band who include Justin, current bassist for Condemned Unit, on guitar...a crackhead on vocals (Jeremy)...and black dude on drums (Rich)...and some guy named after a car on bass (Trans-am)...haha, but seriously, they're basically a crust band doing grinding thrash. the EP was done with their second guitarist but they kicked her out, though her vocals added a nice touch to their music. and like Condemned Unit their whole EP can be found on their website: http://www.maydaythrash.com ...oh and they do a ripping cover of Anti-Cimex's Warmachine |
Pretty good, I like the song Code Red.
|
Pretty good, I like the song Code Red.
yea, they're great, only gotten the chance of seeing em once so far. though Justin is a great guy, i stayed with him during the Chaos in Tejas festival at the beginning of June. and it's funny, cause they recently released their old demo as an 7", but Pat, the guy who runs the record label, is a record fanatic, so all his releases look cool, and all 300 pressings of the EP were on coke bottle clear vinyl. :thumb: and the record he released for TX-local psychobilly band, Concombre Zombie, is on black vinyl with green splotches on it, haha. great guy, alittle too cranky about his records though. |
