What is Wintersun like? I think Bodom is catchyest, Norther has the most emotion, and Kalmah well, they are more "evil" than the others. I'm curious as to how Wintersun sounds.

tapping, sweep arpeggios all that jazz. I can't do any of that, but all his stuff sounds overused and boring. It's all the same because he HAS to shred on every song. I mean, look at smoke on the water by deep purple, amazing song, easiest riff ever. Just becuase you can do all that crap doesn't make you some amazing musician, you can just play hard stuff.

did i ever say they were the best band ...no i didnt...i also never said i only listen to them and other death metal so maybe i do listen to other things and i dont need to be more open to other styles

Yes "they" did ruin the Trooper, but it wasn'ta ctually them, it was Sentenced mislabeled. As far as Aces High goes, they ruined everything but the solo, which they made much better.

Miik I respect your opinion, I know not everyone likes the same thing, but as a general rule you don't go into a thread about a band and bash them.

actually its good to listen to other things so if you ever write music you combine all of what you like and people can tell what is implemented into the songs. The more music you like the better. By the way music isnt rap, pop, or anything on the radio

I didn't bash them. I let everyone know i'm not a fan. I didn' say they suck. Alexi Laiho can play guitar, sort of, and they did a cool cover of the Final Countdown. Everybody happy now.

And i'm sure if you ask the members of CoB, they would tell you they listen to many types of music. So if want to be cool like them, follow their example.
