You'd be best off talking to Edgebass about pickups and stuff.
|
I'm gonna go for the Corvette when i get my compensation money through
Such a lovely bass and they all have individual characteristics in the wood. I don't actually like the grain on yours Led Zep which is wierd looking in the left corner. Its all streaky and not my taste. By the pickups where you have obviosly rested your thumb is all greasy and dirty so give it a clean :) |
Really? I think Led Zep's grain rocks. I have a spot above the pickup where i rest my thumb where the wood has gone a bit weird from sweat or whatever. Not badly or anything though. I've been waxing that area lots to try and keep out any liquid.
|
Its a lovely grain but im just comparing it to Warwicks I have seen. And it really is a sexy bass.
/sarcasm To avoid that mark you can get im gonna use a pick /sarcasm hmm im just going to wash my hands every time a play it and when ever neccesary clean it before it builds up .... I ****ing want one NOW!!!! |

After I wax it it usually looks better anyway. Have fun when you get one :naughty: What are you going for btw, 4,5,6? |
Im going for the 4 sting. I have owned a 5 string and a 6 string. Although they were cheap and crappy more than 4 does not float my boat. I just want 24 frets. They come in handy and from my experiance it makes all the other higher frets more easily accessible which is great i think.
BTW can i be in the MX Warwick Club when I get her? I hear your club house is the best. :D |
Any warwick owner can join the club. Tell us when you get it, and make sure you give us some pictures :D
|
ahhhh i want a warwick..... corvette fretless or corevette $$

I don't think you can go wrong with either of those options. |

All I need is $8,000... :upset: Oh yeah, and a Carvin frettless. So add another $1000 to that. |
LedZep, have you played the FNA Jazzman LTD corvette? That thing looks sick. The 5er that I played of the vette was nice, as was the thumb. I love Warwicks.
|
You both suck....
At first, I thought Warwicks were one of the greatest things ever. Then I saw the price and it changed my mind a little. Then I met the Corvette, and hey, it looked well... ok, kinda bland. Then I saw Led_Zeppelin678's video solo... and sorry, but I didn't liked the sound out of it. I know he at least knows some **** about his bass and would know how to use it. They aren't in my "Me Wannit" list.
Someone lead me to Led_Zeppelin678's video please... |
my future warwick, 5 string fretless corvette
|
Someone lead me to Led_Zeppelin678's video please...
I'd have to upload it to yousendit, but the audio is on my soundclick: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/8/timothycmeyer_music.htm |
i wish they made a corvette $$ fretless lol... i'd buy it in a snap.
|
You could defret it - or more wisely with an instrument of that value, pay a professional to defret it for you. It would cost, yes, but not THAT much.
|

It's a free upgrade on all Warwicks, with an ebony fretboard. Lines are an extra $150. |
^^ Megaman X ;).
I can never beat Sigma...
Sigma's final form is weak against the Rolling Shield, the weapon you get from Armored Armadillo. Good luck. :thumb: I've beaten that game probably about...700 times. |

Hey guys, I've been talking to my Aussie Warwick distributor about the new LTD Corvette 'Hot Rod'. It's AU$3699, which is nearly a grand more than I thought it would be compared to the US and UK prices, but oh well. I'm wondering if anyone has got one of these bad boys or played one, and if the dual P pickups are a good setup or not?
It sure as hell is one sexy bass though!! http://www.warwickbass.com/basses/hotrod.html |
I really want one...it'd be great as a contrast to my 'vette...but I don't have any money at the moment.
|
Nice lookin vette. tomorrow (hopefully) my $$ should arrive at GC and i should get the call to come pick it up..only thing that sucks is i gotta trade my vette back in for the $$..my vette sounds awesome with my band (we play metal). hopefully the $$ won't disappoint me.
|

|

excuse me? why would you switch out MEC active pickups on purpose. IMO EMG's arent even on the same scale, the only other thing i could think of is Bartolini. |
You mispelt Ron Burdandy.
And no, MEC is only used by Warwick because it's German and thus much cheaper. |
****it, my $$ still hasn't arrived. fockers.
|
I've sold at least 15 corvettes this year on ebay so there must be somthing good about them, plus the cost issue is because they're from germany. They go through warwick, to dnan b. goods, then to dealers so the price keeps goin up. Plus bubinga isn't cheap wood.
For quality, owned a 6 and play the 4 and 5 along with every other warwick in production plus about 200 other basses, and the vettes are a lot of bass and quality for their cost. Compare to the cost of an emerican fender (which is total sh** for the money) warwicks are resonable. |
