Kif 05-02-2005 05:33 AM

I'm surprised Whoops, I Od'd isn't on any of those lists

Rancid Dan 05-02-2005 10:04 AM

Meh, i don't like it much

albert_bass 05-03-2005 10:47 AM

I've just read the profile and it's great. I've always been a big fan of them so I knew almost everything but it's good to refresh your memory every now and then. Very good job.
I'm surprised Whoops, I Od'd isn't on any of those lists
I'm not surprised. They have like 70 better songs I can think of right now. But it's a good song too. The bass riffs are cool.

EDIT: I thought you meant the first list.

Nofx

ill sleep well tonight
thank you

Fabz 05-03-2005 10:33 PM

Going to see them on June 26th, in Montreal and they will come with Good Riddance....arg I can't wait :) !!!

WOE is not a bad album...but really not as good as the others.

albert_bass 05-03-2005 11:29 PM

That's great, I love both bands.

RazorsInTheNight 05-04-2005 01:44 AM
If you have all their albums you should realise that WOE is easily one of their worst, despite having a few great songs
..
I actually can't stand War on Errorism, its just gets on my nerves with all the political whodacky.
..

Gnarmageddon 05-04-2005 05:52 AM

TOOH's comment was directed towards the ed guy, not you.

sketchyjoe 05-04-2005 07:29 AM

NOFX are pretty average. They have a couple of great songs but far too many average or crappy ones.

The profile wasn't bad although I would have put more emphasis on Punk In Drublic as it is their most popular album.

WOE has one great song (Franco Unamerican) and lots of average ones about how punk they are.

albert_bass 05-04-2005 07:38 AM

^ Who wants this guy to stay in the punk forum? ^

/Raises hand.

But seriously, Franco Un-american is a very good song and I don't think they have that much of average songs.

Rancid Dan 05-04-2005 09:28 AM

Heh, Franko Un-American is no way the best on the album.

It's the poppiest, most wannabe political and annoying one imo.

sketchyjoe 05-04-2005 09:54 AM

It's also the catchiest.

albert_bass 05-04-2005 09:55 AM
Heh, Franko Un-American is no way the best on the album.

No, it's not the best, but it's a good one. So poppy and so good at the same time.

cbmartinez 05-04-2005 01:39 PM

I love that song. The lyrics are great and I love playing it on my bass, it is really catchy. My favorite tracks on WOE are Mediocore, The Irrationality Of Rationality, and American Errorist. The only one I didn't like on the CD was Decomposeur. God, I love Mediocore.

Rancid Dan 05-04-2005 01:42 PM

The drumming on Decomposeur is awful.

Mediocore and Mattersville are ace

albert_bass 05-04-2005 02:29 PM

I really like Decomposeur. The ones I hate are Anarchy Camp or 13 Stitches.

Mattersville is meh...

And Mediocore is probably the best along with Separation..

Rancid Dan 05-04-2005 02:33 PM

I liek Decomposeur but the drumming seems awful.

Gnarmageddon 05-04-2005 02:33 PM

I like 13 Stitches. Even though the recording is awful. I think the lyrics are funny.

From TWOE's lyric book:
"Recorded at Motor Studios, except for 13 Stitches, which wasn't actually recorded anywhere."

ed4182 05-05-2005 05:16 AM

hey hey i never said its their best album i just said i like it, my personaly favourtie is ribbed, the greatest hits is pretty cool i lent it to my mate and he loves em now, its a good cd to hear nofx's diversity in their music

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 05-05-2005 10:18 AM
..

..
Must've quoted the wrong guy, sorry.

The Greatest Hits has the sh!ttest selection of hits ever. There's some much better stuff that nevere made it on that CD

skateMASTERbater2 05-05-2005 10:33 AM

i agree^
Dissapointing to see that there was only one song from ribbed and white trash, then 3 songs from war on errorism.

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 05-05-2005 10:37 AM

From WTTHAAB they did have Soul doubt, Bob and Stickin In My Eye, but there should've been at least 2 more from that CD

Moron Bros, shower days, Food sex and ewe, El Lay, Liza And Louise, Please Play This Song plus many more should've been on though

skateMASTERbater2 05-05-2005 10:47 AM

shi't, didn't see those. but yeah whatever, that's what i meant, alot of good songs missing from that album were missing

albert_bass 05-05-2005 11:13 AM

Is there philthy phil at least?

Rancid Dan 05-05-2005 11:14 AM

Yeah

Rancid Dan 05-05-2005 11:15 AM

NOFX chose what songs went on it, so they chose their favourites.

Its not a bad list at all.

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 05-05-2005 11:22 AM
Is there philthy phil at least?
Philthy Phil is on it. Favourites does not necesserily = best. they missed off too many great tracks. Fat Mike never really liked his old stuff when he looked back on it, and it's also hard for a band to pass judgement on their own stuff

albert_bass 05-05-2005 11:29 AM

It's difficult anyway to make a compilation... But who cares. We know all the songs and we don't need it so no need to buy it.

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 05-05-2005 11:31 AM

Oh i'm gonna buy it, as soon as i have enough money. I never have the money spare for CDs anymore, it's so frustrating.
